Its obvious his attitude is not in question
I've probably said this a hundred times but an on form Ince would be the best new signing we could make.
I hope he does stay and makes people eat their words.

After several decades of watching I can honestly say that until four years ago I never despised a player, even when the label "not very good" was an understatement. Then a whole bus load of despicable characters rocked up and hiding on the back seat was Tom Ince. Runs around in circles,I can never recall him going for a dangerous for a 50:50, often chases people so he can foul them from behind to look like he got "stuck in". Those are his good points, consider the fact that he only has one foot, cant head, constantly blames others on the pitch for mistakes, and gives up if its too cold/difficult/not in the mood. And earns more in a week then nearly everyone in the ground over a year. Its not entertainment its an insult.
I nearly choked when he pulled the shirt on last night.I will never applaud him, I want him gone...fantastic dive for a penalty though in the second half.Obviously been watching the Olympic swimmers.

I do think it's probably just a shop window job with a view to a loan somewhere - but it is interesting that he's re-emerged and Gregory and Vokes haven't. He's snuck back in before, and it's not inconceivable he could sneak in from nowhere again Enjoyed this little gem from Rory: www.stokecityfc.com/news/2021/july/Delap-on-Wigan-defeat/"The one thing you can't ever criticise Incey for is his work-rate and effort. He showed his character tonight and worked ever so hard" Fell off my chair when Delap said that about Ince. It’s the complete opposite…you can always question his work rate and effort. I don’t expect the staff to slag players off, but don’t insult fans with that rubbish.

Think we know what we’re getting with Tom, so difficult to re-brand him. I’d imagine no takers at present so either, Plan A - hope he finds good form and returns to first team until contract expires. Hopefully this happens.
or
Plan B - Someone is impressed with his performances and takes him on loan.
If I’m right nice to see a management team with a Plan B, we haven’t seen that for a while. MON doing well with the clear out and recruitment so far imo.

I hope he does stay and makes people eat their words. Don't disagree with that. We know he can do it at this level but needs to find that form again. Am sure his confidence reached a low and some fans getting on his back doesn't help but some need a boo boy, if not Ince then Allen more recently but up to him to change opinion and maybe he can. I personally think he's worth one last try.

It’s all very well wanting players gone, but who’s coming in who’s better? Ince has generally been shite for us but we haven’t yet signed anyone in his position have we?

I personally think he's worth one last try. That's the thing isn't it. We all know he can do it but he's shown it so infrequently. I've slagged him off unmercifully over the years and I don't like him. However, he's our player and we're paying him (handsomely probably) and if no-one else wants to take him, even on loan, then it's in our interests to give him another go just in case he does fire. He's not like an Imbula or Ndyiaye, who openly agitated to go, he doesn't seem like a bad egg round the squad so why not give him a try. If he's still not up to it what have we lost? If he finds his form then we've got a quality champo player in a position we're currently short. As far as I see it we aren't in a position to be too choosy at the minute. Plus he actually kicked the ball with his RIGHT FOOT last night and scored so that's a massive improvement already.

Derby need some players, I'll happily drive him to Derby if they'll pay his wages. They love him there. Don't want to see this player anywhere near the first team this season, he's gash

Doughty is effectively a new signing and Campbell will hopefully be back before too long. Don’t forget that Ince wasn’t even at the club for the second half of last season. It’s not like him leaving would leave much of a hole to be filled.

Not so sure as Gregory and Vokes not featured and Ince has in the last 2 squads and played last night. I saw Ince last night as a contender for next season rather than shop window but time will tell.

Tom Ince has had more than enough opportunities in a Stoke shirt and Everytime he's failed Miserabley...he doesn't even show he wants it, hopefully last night was just a run out for him to gain some fitness and put him in the window so to speak anything more will be really disappointing.

Sorry Tom if you're reading, it's deserved criticism, you ought to grow a pair and play like an Alpha male that enjoys the game. A £10m wimp.

Shop window and scouts checking his fitness. Exactly this. If we want him gone, we need him to be half fit given that he did nothing at Luton. Or maybe he went in the O’Neill and asked for another chance? Pahahaha, do you do stand up? He couldn’t have done less for us when he was on the pitch I highly doubt he’s motivated himself to play for Stoke now. The only way I’d buy that is if he’s doing it for a last hurrah at another club. Remember his old man hawking him around to the top European clubs? That went well…
