Apologies if already posted and in my drunken state I have not seen it but it will be 10 years tomorrow since we dicked Bolton 5-0 at Wembley.
Personally,my favourite Stoke performance.

Wasn't bad was it😁
Still amazes me how many Stoke fans weren't feeling safe until the 4th or even 5th goal went in It was all over at half time , third goal was the killer.

The most surreal Stoke game I've ever attended.
Like some sort of David Lynch-esque dream sequence only without the backwards talking dwarfs.
Still didn't believe it was actually happening even when we went 3-0 up. As the fourth and fifth went in me and the mate I was sat with just started laughing uncontrollably 😂
Bonkers game, bonkers day, bonkers result.
(bonkers)

Wasn't it the start of Bolton's catastrophic decline to being on the brink of non-league football.

And the weird thing is after that game Bolton went on a run of 13 league defeats in 16 games and then smashed us 5-0 to end it.

Yes but we had spent decades hearing nothing but horror stories about the pain of letting slip a two goal lead against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi final. When Kenwyne Jones scored, my first thought was to imagine myself as a 90-year-old man telling his great grandkids about the time we blew a three goal lead against Bolton. I relaxed after the 4th goal and the rest of the day was surreal.

It was a surreal day, superb. Red hot, pub in Heathrow at 10, got to Wembley as the players were coming out and for someone who hadn't been to the new Wembley it was a sight to behold. Only regret for me is it made the final a bit of an anticlimax. I have had printed onto wallpaper, a shot of the crowd at that game and it is going up on my footy room wall very soon, 2.2m x 3.6m. The quality is amazing. Great day out.

This wasn’t bad either 21 Years ago today Thorney in his favourite spot, sliding in on the back stick. He was magic for us. Still gutted he went to those sheep shagging twats. He also sported a cracking black eye during the game as well.

My over riding memory from that day was Owen Coyle’s total disrespect and contempt for Stoke by selecting an insanely over attacking line-up. Attending with my youngish son, who was just starting to contract the deadliest virus of its day, SCFC1863, he was amazed and maybe a little saddened at the sight of his erstwhile reasonably sensible father running up and down the 2nd ties steps having the mentals of all mentals when the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th goals hit the back of the net.

Quality gave me goosebumps that did I said it on the way home from that game imagine being a player on those sort of occasions the support from stoke was unreal and we got it back from the players ten fold. It’s nice to have those memories to remind ourselves on why we are football fans because every once in a while something special happens

The goals were all of real quality. The Walters goal was one of Wembley's great goals. It will never be seen as such of course but it really was.

Apart from the fantastic result, performance and atmosphere. My favourite memory from that day was on the news later that night. The camera zoomed in on my supposedly hard as nails mate blubbing like a big baby. He still gets a ribbing to this day😀

Oh for the days when we had players who could actually run and shoot. I had genuinely forgotten how good we once were. All quite depressing really I think I’ll put my hazmat suit on and head to the pub.

Apologies if already posted and in my drunken state I have not seen it but it will be 10 years tomorrow since we dicked Bolton 5-0 at Wembley. Personally,my favourite Stoke performance. I was in India at the time, many bars had promised live coverage and i spent around 30 minutes going around them in a tuk-tuk trying to find one who"COULD" show to no avail went back to hotel and ended up in my room watching on a old 14" black and white television with a weak signal which made the picture look like it was being played in a blizzard , i missed first two goals but what a night. After the match finished i went down to the bar (they could not get the match because they had satellite t.v.only) and had a hard time convincing people that was the score.
