If we had crowds in, I think that would have turned a few fans tonight. Performance wise that is easily up there with the worst NJ days, plus the players gave little.
Tactically, awful. What was the plan? Launching the ball time and time again, great pros of the game (Mikel) hoofing and wasting possession.

Proper Sunday League wang it forward. Staggeringly bad second half.

I think it would have turned before the two wins tbh, we served up some utter dross, but that second half tonight was shocking and showed MON up a little, he didn't have a clue how to change it and it showed.

Maybe not turned as such but consolidated the doubts.

Playing direct could have worked - if we had a target man who could move.

Playing direct could have worked - if we had a target man who could move. It’s a massive issue for me, nothing personal but persisting with Vokes is damaging the team and MON’s credibility. Edit. Vokes wasn’t the main issue tonight, however his inclusion often has little or no impact.

There’s been a few shockers though.....

Still got faith in our overall direction under MON but we’ve just got so much dross on our books - and the concern is plenty of them were signed by him.

Then we came out for the second half !

I think he is very lucky there are no crowds, the atmosphere would turn rancid with some if not all of the performances since the turn of the year, and his transfers in general have been shite... He's a very very lucky manager at the moment!

We are unable to pass a ball, cross a ball or control a ball right through the team ....it’s actually quite unbelievably worrying how many games we do it in

Going into a 2nd half in game u need to win and thinking Vokes Tymon and brown is a capable forward line is embarrassing. That’s the worst front 3 Since Brian little days!

I think before the recent 2 wins our home matches where we were behind on 75 minutes would have been played out to a completely empty Bet365 stadium as they were last season before MON arrived.

The fans don't turn at an away game HOWEVER! MON IS IN FOR A SHOCK WHEN WE GET BACK IN THE GROUND IF THINGS DON'T MASSIVELY IMPROVE. He won't have ten home games of continuous hoof ball without a backlash. I hope and pray things change. I believe he has the best intentions but he needs to realise we expect alot.Any manager is lucky to be at Stoke at the minute. The number one club to manage in the Championship and half the prem. The money he will get will be more than Celtic could dream of but he needs to understand what is expected

It’s close.
The second half was garbage. Mind numbing. Tedious. Uninspiring.
Shite. Horrible. Rancid.
However you want to term it.
No Mikel.
No Vokes.

But would have taken upper mid table finish and more youngsters playing at the start of the season which is what we’ve got if you look at the bigger picture.

Playing direct could have worked - if we had a target man who could move. Or gave him any kind of support. Well, yeah. If Powell isn't on it, we're screwed. And he was completely anonymous tonight. Take out Fletcher too, and we may as well pack it in. I wouldn't say the first half was.....good exactly. But it was just about ok. They're a tricky team to play with their in-your-face pressing and the pitch and conditions were poor It all crumbled to shit when Fletcher went off and Vokes, who is now ,sadly, barely League 2 standard was the supposed focal point. Mikel looked what he was - a soon-to-be 34 year-old, and he should be the last choice of all the CMs. Sadly, his 'character' and status (and I'm sure he's a good kiddie!) seem to get him minutes. And quite why a make-do option in Tymon is preferred to someone we've actually chosen to bring in last month is anyone's guess. Tymon has had about 60 minutes where he's looked competent out wide since he joined. Seems churlish to pick out individuals though, as the second half was just insanely, eye-wateringly bad - the kind of 45 minutes we'll be recalling in 10 years time....

The worrying thing tonight for me was when you consider the performance there for O’Neill’s 1st game 15 months ago alongside tonight’s it’s night and day.

He might not be but Crouch wasn't all that mobile and we just stuck him back post and kept slinging it in, we don't even try that even in the last few mins when desperate, even going as far as taking Smith off who looked the only player capable.
