Such sad news, as he didn’t deserve to die in this way. But what an incredible life he has led, and his legacy over the past year shall never be forgotten. If ever somebody is befitting of a statue, it is this truly remarkable man.

National hero.
His life almost seems like it was mapped out in a book beforehand. Like 2020 was his final calling.

It is good to be reminded of just how great mankind can be on occasions. He was a wonderful example to us all. There won't be many who will leave a legacy as significant as he did.
RIP to Sir Tom - and condolences to all his family and friends.

Sad news, but 100 is a cracking innings.
Capt. Sir Tom is a rare breed, he's one of those people that is actually deserving of a permanent statue in a prominent location.

I'm just pleased he received his honours while he was still alive, it must have meant the world to him.
If our generation have half the moral fibre of this man, we'll be in a good place.
RIP Cap, you're an inspiration to us all.
