Given the opposition our injuries and players unavailable this has been a superb performance...anybody who thinks otherwise is totally unrealistic and two mistakes ultimately cost us ...take a bow those young lads

I thought that was a very good effort.
We got into an excellent position in the game as well, we looked comfortable when they scored their second out of nothing.
Very encouraging I thought

Excellent? Are you stoned or pissed? That was a shambles the only player to take any credit was cousins. We rolled over and had our belly tickled didn't give them any troubles one bit. Don't mind going out with a fight but that performance tonight with the sunday league mistakes was unacceptable.

1st half we weren’t great, although I guess we were giving them the respect they deserve.
Second half we had a proper go and played much better football.
Just a shame we gifted them two goals.

I don't disagree with you Spuds quality really did shine through, we kept things tight for 45 minutes, went in a goal down but with a fighting chance, came out and stepped up a gear, if we could have kept it a 1-1 for another 10 minutes I'd have fancied us nicking it but 2 unforced errors so far in our own half gifted Spuds the match. Disappointed but not downhearted is how I feel about it now. Gouranga.

I'm happy with our efforts tonight and there were some real positives. Certain players did really highlight how bad they are though in ways that don't get exposed in the Championship.
Batth, Mclean, Smith and to a lesser extent Thompson and Brown were really poor and appeared terrified of the ball.

We actually had them worried for a short spell after we equalised but backing off for that second goal was poor even though it was a very good shot. Then Collins played a unnecessary ball to Thompson and he ultimately made a hash of controlling it,which was duly punished by an excellent finish. Very disappointing first half but certainly better second. Spurs were robbed of a perfectly good goal which wasn't offside and but for 2 or 3 good saves from Lonergan it could have looked a lot worse.

We were okay, especially the 2nd half. I don't think a 3-1 result against the full squad of one of the top teams in the world is anything to be sad about given our injuries.

Wouldn’t say we were excellent but we made a decent fist of it.
When you think we’ve got Obi Mikel, Allen, Clucas and Powell to add to that midfield then things look a lot better. We were way too passive and really poor on the ball in the first half, but once we had a go in the second half we looked a lot better.
Brown doesn’t have a good rep on here but he beat Dier in the air and then put in a superb cross for our equaliser.
If we can keep most of them fit and bring in an attacking player on loan with a bit of presence then we’ve every hope for the 2nd half of the season.
We weren’t carved open and our lads stuck rigidly. This is a team scrapping and playing for the manager.

Thought two was more representative than three. No injuries...yeah yeah, my hamstrings tightened on the couch when Alli nutmegged him twice in two seconds. If the Kids are United..... edit for spell check

I'd stop short of excellent but agree with the sentiment. With Brown down the middle we were literally going nowhere but with Fletcher on, even though he missed a chance even Vokes would have been slayed for, it gave us shape and a bit of presence.
The fuck ups from Souttar and Thompson will make them stronger and we have a well of a lot to learn but this is a squad and manager going places I'm absolutely sure.

Batth, Mclean, Smith and to a lesser extent Thompson and Brown were really poor and appeared terrified of the ball. Good learning for our young players. Souttar has a struggle tonight and was at fault for the first two goals. Kane was too good for him on the third but that is true of many defenders. Thompson had a good patch and so did TOB but a tough 90 minutes for them and Brown, but hopefully by gets a boost from his assist. Batth, Smith, McClean looked like players on the way down. I thought Collins grew into it and Cousins, Powell and Fletcher contributed.

It was as good as we could give, Tyrese and Clucas would have made things more interesting but I disagree that you think we went out without a fight.
