Reports all sounding very confused.
I dare not comment as anything anybody says could possibly be construed as racist, so best to say nothing until the FACTS come out. ???

Sounded to me like the 4th official tried to identify a player by describing him as “black guy” to the ref
If that’s true it’s been blown way out off proportion. You literally can’t even describe the way someone looks these days without it being racist?

As a non white person, I will not feel annoyed if someone who doesn't know my name called me the "black guy" especially when he has a language barrier problem, being black is not something shameful, racism happens everyday and everywhere and we have to stand together against racism but oversensitivity is not the way to stand against racism.
We are not sure yet about what exactly he said, but according to initial reports he said "the black guy" and English is not his primary language. If he said "negro" so it is a different story and yes it is pure racism.

Apparently Ba could be overheard saying words to that affect, I haven't heard it but thats what the BBC has reported.

Yeah, I just thought his choice of words was curious, especially since it’s seemingly enough for him to decide based on not much else that it’s (depressingly predictably) political correctness gone mad...

The world is going mad.
I have put three posts on here and then had second thoughts and deleted them because I don’t know what I am supposed to say or not to say.

Oh Fair enough sorry. I'm not sure saying the black guy is a good way of pointing someone else out myself, maybe at a stretch if he was the only black person on the pitch, can't say I'd be particually comfortable if I heard it.

It's clear he means 'seems like this happened' Anyway after the footage I've seen after being confronted for using the N word the 4th official tries to explain he was referring to the colour black and not meaning offence. In Romania the word Negru means black. The 4th official should really know the word could be interpreted as a racial word therefore shouldn't use it. Given the heat of moment it's difficult to try and explain with the offended party accepting this.

I probably isn’t the best way to describe someone, but because he has done it doesn’t mean he’s racist. However if the N word was used then that is most definitely racist and the game was rightfully called off.

It’s not the same thing is it? No but it’s an example, now answer the question. Would it make him racist? It’s a weirdly specific example that is potentially life or death and introduces time pressures and the need for quick identification. Why are we debating this instead of the PSG thing again sorry?

Why not walk right up to the man in question and single him out without at any point mentioning his race?

Because it would be so much it easier to just say who it is than fucking about walking round the pitch. Christ is this what it’s come to ?
