Great player, great manager for the Mighty Potters, even greater human being. Give him the key to the city (if that's still a thing? )

If you're between 40 and 55 he's got to be your favourite manager - took us from our lowest ebb and so nearly got us to the promised land. You might respect Tony Pulis but you just have to love Lou.

Fantastic guy. Had a lot of sad things happen in his own life. Still goes the extra mile to help others. Love the guy.

How has he not been honoured? MBE surely? A very unassuming man. He would probably be embarrassed to receive an honour. But I do agree, his work deserves recognition. My favourite Stoke manager.

I turn 37 on Friday, still my favourite manager and Stein still my favourite player. And even in his second coming we had the brilliant Mike Sharon and his great partnership with Sturridge. Great memories. We've really been starved of good strikers since the end of the 90s haven't we?

He was a decent player Thorne and certainly our last real goalscorer. But not in the same league as Stein and Sheron for me.

Started watching Stoke under Lou. I really think he added a lot of supporters during those years in the lower leagues.
Nothing but fond memories of those times and he is a true gentleman. His managerial career should have lasted longer perhaps?

A tossup between the 70's and Lou's time in charge. Both were great times but different and both managers - Waddo and Lou - were the most loved managers we've ever had. Lou is a very special person as well as a manager. He's got a heart of gold as well as a wonderful personality. Our days with him as manager were probably the most fun times we ever had. He should be given a special Stokie gong as big as Big Ben.
OS.

Travelling across form Huddersfield every other weekend to go “home” as mum and dad called it, to visit my grandparents. Parking in the same place and walking past a Kawasaki shop and getting some pick n mix from Woolys, watching fans emerge from different directions, the smell of the burger vans, programme sellers, the smoke from the fags billowing out of the pub/club close to the ground, the queues and the clock of the turnstiles and then emerging from up the steps and gazing down on that beautiful green pitch. Fuck me,those were the days.

Stein, pink panthers and Lou Lou skip ta ma Lou......THE best time I’ve had supporting us. Also the 2 Unlimited song, No limit. It was No.1 in early 1993 and the first time I remember hearing it was in the 2-0 win at Port Vale. Think that was its first outing and sounded brilliant that night.
