This lad is taking the piss out of us. 10 million quid for a lump of lard that wouldn't get in a good Sunday side. No effort,no committment and taking the piss.

Should have scored at the end. Needed to tuck his shot into the corner of the net.

Summed up for me about half way through the 2nd half when Powell ( I think ) chipped the ball in towards him and he just stumbled backwards into the defender and ended up on his arse.
It would be comical if we hadn't handed over 9 million pounds for him.

While I'd say he has improved under O'Neill, his contributions in a game are more or less none.
Whoever thought splashing out that sort of cash for him would be a good idea wants sacking.

I actually agree im not sure it made any sense at all either on or off the pitch, Crouch was still the better player and I reckon if he was still in full time training he'd be miles better, even calling him in from the podcast he'd offer more.

When we signed him did we not do fitness tests? He's lost the ability to run properly According to the powers that be ... No need for a fitness test on vokes No need for a drugs test on berahino No need to check if wimmer is a first team player or squad/reserve player What is wrong with signing the unfit ,druggies and people who can't get a game in the first team .

He is a bit of a sniffer, isn't he. Better in a side where the ball is being pinged around the penalty on a regular basis. Naturally gets into good goalscoring situations, but gets zero service in this side.
Not sure why we play him or what MON has him in the side for - given the way we play.
We need a Fuller/Campbell type player in this side who can make something out of nothing and take on a few men with the drop of the shoulders, somebody who holds the ball up well and can bring others into the game - Vokes is never going to fit the bill in our current setup where the emphasis is on getting men behind the ball and trying to defend as a team, and not committing/creating to much going forward.

He makes wimmer look like a good buy When you look at the minutes both have played for us you have to say that could be true. I still think we never saw enough of Wimmer to say he was really shit, whereas we have endured hour upon hour of Vokes to say that he really, truly is a big steaming pile of shit.

Pound for pound the worst signing in the history of the club? He's scored a few goals, he's not even close to that conversation Considering the substantial investment in him, I think you will find most of us would put him up there. We aren’t talking about half million pound gambles here. The bloke cost us £9 million. His performances have generally been very very poor. A terrible signing.

We aren’t talking about half million pound gambles here. The bloke cost us £9 million. His performances have generally been very very poor. A terrible signing. For the umpteenth time it was £7m + add ons based on promotion So £7m Now it's fair to say that's still a bad buy but nowhere near as bad as Wimmer,Imbula,Berahino. £500k for a striker? Just don't exist anymore.
