I do think he will be off this Summer. Return to Swansea I suspect.

Really hope we can get at least £3M for him and get rid of his wages as well. Don't think we can afford such high earners any more, and especially when he is not a stand out player either. Hopefully Clucas and McClean will follow him through the door as well!

The best quote I've seen on here about him was ' he's like a dog chasing a balloon ' . Brilliant. I'll be amazed if there's a list of suitors given Age Injury Ability His second touch is always a tackle.

I think Swansea is his likely destination if he can prove his fitness before & during the Euro's.

Wherever he goes you just know he will turn it on like he does for Wales. Still, good luck to him, I think he’s shown his loyalty and is deserving of a move which hopefully suits all parties.

MONs quote about Stoke knowing the value of the younger assets and not giving them away cheaply is all well and good, but it won’t be his decision. The club have a history of underselling assets and the only decision MON can control is his own one whether he chooses to walk once he sees what derisory sum Scholes accepts for the likes of Souttar, Campbell, Collins or Campbell.

Unless he is directly involved, has quite a sway and influence as to what happens - which by all accounts seems to be the case so far. With him not spending anything, clearing out the spenny players where he can and blooding a load of youngsters into and around the first team. I can’t really recall where the club seems to have undersold off any of our younger assets...

If Joe’s heading to South Wales and the Swans don’t require him, He might still have enough in him to do a decent job for Newport 😂
If it is with the swans, imagine it would be a backup squad player with the remit of stepping into coaching or similar position. Would he dare do The Taffs? Bristol City wouldn’t be that far of a commute either.

If Swansea go up through the playoffs I can see this transfer happen as they would hope to benefit from his experience. I suddenly think I'll back the Swans for promotion now!

If Swansea go up having him in the squad as a squad player will be helpful for them, having someone with prem experience. I doubt we need to ask for much anyway, just getting him off the wage bill will be a big boon to us

No championship club could match his wages (until 2022), though, could they?
Unless, of course, Joe accepts a significantly smaller wage in exchange for a decent length of contract (say, three years) and quality of life / family considerations.

He’s nowhere near good enough for Swansea He's not even good enough for The Swan With Two Necks. And even if he was, he couldn’t do front of house service - he’s so short no one would ever know when he’s come to their table.
