If we were promoted I'd love to see him back for a couple of seasons. Yeh - get the old band back together - Arnie, Shaq, Zonz and Bojan - SCFC the twilight years - .......and then I woke up,,, A motivated Arnie could still be an asset, Bojan wouldn't be.

Easily in the Top 3 players I've ever seen at Stoke.
Fuller and Nzonzi probably the other two.

There is a thread on Arnie, with a thread on Tom Ince above it.
Never were two wingers so vastly different
One cost peanuts, was an edge of the seat entertainer who could kill a high ball on the spot, beat three players leaving 2 of them on their arses and either score or create a goal. And still not smile the petulant twat (loved it), could use both feet, strong, powerful, aggressive, determined.
The other cost a fortune and draws and audible sigh when selected as only has one foot, cant cross, and has the uncanny knack of having shots that just about miss the post or bar by 3 inches every time, weak, feeble strength, ducks out of headers, slows play down and genuinely infuriates me.

Which is which mate?

His defensive ability is totally underrated too.
Way better than anyone we’ve had in the PL era for defending.
Ethers and Pennant close.
Walters was woeful for it. Couldn’t spot trouble if he tried.
Arnie though read the game so well and cut so many attacks out.
Wonderful player and moving to West Ham was such a waste.

Spot on for this generation albeit for different reasons in each case , Nzonzi and Hudson the best two Stoke paul years i have seen in 50 years as both made the game go at their pace as opposed to the other way round and they could make it go quicker or slower to suit them
