Finally, a well deserved thread.
Think he's really getting into a groove. Had a slip early on against Brewster but after that was excellent.

He looked one of Jones best signings at the start of the season but totally lost confidence after he'd been subjected to Jones wank management.

Fucked up early on and should have been booked for handball but the played really well. Touch of the salif diao about his play need to fuck up or get booked to switch on then starts playing well. In response to a comment last week he cheated the ball down a couple of times and looked pretty composed.

Dodgy start but after that probably his best game for the club.

It's worth remembering that he's only 24 years old.
Another good game after his superb outing against West Brom on Monday.

He is our best signing since relegation. He's getting better with every game. Usual mistake early doors again but cut them out and we've got a very decent centre back.

Distribution is terrible, for a so called footballing CB , but we are at last looking solid, Joe Allen was excellent second half but first half I thought he’d signed for Swansea distribution wise But in reality both were excellent

Lindsay has improved massively and apart from a few dodgy clearances to start with and a slip over I thought he was good again today.

Was about to start a similar thread. He’s improving massively and he’s starting to look like a potentially very good center half. Had a rough few months early on and his confidence looked co ole truly shot, which was not helped by an understandably impatient support. He’s benefitting massively from the organization that MON is instilling in the team, and from the growing confidence of those around him. Was excellent in Monday, and again today. Still has work to do on his distribution, but it’s great to see the improvements from a lad who’s still relatively inexperienced.

I've been banging on about him for a while but I think he's a very good player, strong in the air and his anticipation is very good but ironically what possibly causes so many of his mistakes. He sees things early and tries to win balls that he shouldn't be trying to win and gets caught. He had a difficult ten minute start today (like everyone else) but after that he was superb, his distribution was much better as well (after that first 10 mins). I really do rate him.

Certainly not the ball playing centre half we thought we’d bought but to be fair to him he’s won everything in the air and been very very solid against West Brom and again today. Long may it continue!

3 clean sheets on the bounce.
When did that last happen?

A few wayward passes early on but some great challenges thereafter with better distribution
Another player improving under MON - a superb organiser

Finally, a well deserved thread. Think he's really getting into a groove. Had a slip early on against Brewster but after that was excellent. I said before the game that there must be a decent player in there if he was one of the players of the year last year, I’m glad that he has done well the last 2-3 games. He makes stupid errors and they concern me, but if he can remove that from his game (a big if) then he will do well in this division in the end. As with all of our players this year, it’s a confidence thing. They are starting to get the feel for winning and that makes a difference. They are more full hearted in the tackle, so we win more second balls, and are more happy to take small risks, which makes us more creative. It’s hard to separate out the players from their performances under Jones to now, and I’m guilty of continuing to condemn many on their performances under him. However, for many there has been a real upturn in overall ratings under O’Neill.

I think his positioning is one of his strong points, he always seems to be the player who's head it falls on or who's making the block but as you say he really needs to stop the silly mistakes he makes most games.

He’s getting better but has a lot to learn and improve, but like someone said he’s only 24 so needs confidence.

It just goes to show just how lacking Jones was as a manager,I reckon he could pick a player but then didn’t have a fucking clue how to bring them on.

The number of times he’s the wrong side of his man or goes to challenge for a ball he can’t win terrifies me. Today it was good though I agree, he did anticipate things well and judged the ball much better.

Bit lucky early doors when Brewster did him forcing him to make that daft tackle and handball but otherwise didnt seem to get too troubled.
