As I keep on saying, he is our best currently fit CB.

Finally, a well deserved thread. Think he's really getting into a groove. Had a slip early on against Brewster but after that was excellent. How on earth did he not get booked for that deliberate handball? Thankfully he didn't and was superb from that moment onwards.

Well done, Liam. Been showing why we signed him for the last few games. He had been pretty terrible before that.

He got his “Lindsay moment” out of the way early today and after that was excellent.
With him, Batth, Collins, Shawcross when fit, and BMI at a pinch, I really don’t see why we need to be in the market for a centre back this month.

Lindsay was pretty good today, after a bit of a dodgy start. I am warming to him, but still a bit jittery.

still has a silly mistake in him every game Don't know of any player that hasn't made such a mistake in a game.

That’s, erm, a big shout... I've been banging on about him for a while but I think he's a very good player, strong in the air and his anticipation is very good but ironically what possibly causes so many of his mistakes. He sees things early and tries to win balls that he shouldn't be trying to win and gets caught. He had a difficult ten minute start today (like everyone else) but after that he was superb, his distribution was much better as well (after that first 10 mins). I really do rate him. If his anticipation is so good, surely he should anticipate when something is out of reach then? I agree that he has been much better in the last few games, but I wouldn’t say that he’s been that good. His once a game big mistake quota is worrying.

Proper Sunday league control on the game.

In most circumstances he reads situations well and reacts and gets a head or foot in but when he misreads he gets caught. Many central defenders stand off strikers and let them turn and escape criticism, Lindsay is in their face.

All the back four played brilliant today. Liam and Danny are like Virgil and Gomez from Liverpool.

Awful for half an hour imo. His passing was absolute toss.
But after that he was good. He needs to forget this shit that he’s a footballer because he isn’t. When he does the simple stuff he looks so much better and that’s what he did after that first half an hour.
He’s improved a lot in these last two months.

Fair play to him - he looked horrendous under Jones (to be fair he was left terribly exposed by firstly the diamond and later the change in shape every game leading to the same kind of miscommunications we got under Hughes) but he has been excellent since he's come back in, done the dirty work well and looked to be a positive influence on the ball. My man of the match both today and against West Brom.

I think he his brave
He often seems to get clattered and slyly
Which makes me think he's doing something right
He gets tight on forwards and they don't like it
There has been a few times when their forward should have been sent off .
He is ( not that good ) but he is your vidic (in the wars type) and not your Rio Ferdinand ( covering and reading the play type )
He is young and brave
People might end up liking him
Maybe ,cut out the zinede Zidane style 60 yard passes though , I am not sure he has got that in him

He has been shite for weeks on end, but appears to be improving.

Nowhere near it if we want to be top 6 next season.
The partnership of Batth and Lindsay scares me every game.
Think there's been a lot of luck as opposed to judgement the last couple of games. And I think MON has got the whole team around them defending extremely well.

Right now we should keep playing the same back four even if Ryan is fit! Don't fix something that isn't broken!

I said a while back there was a good player in there and now he is getting better and better, reminds me of when Shawcross first joined, bit raw and needs to sort is one clanger per match then we have a good pairing with Baath plus with Collins on the Scene the future is looking good.

Lindsay and Baath are looking better as a partnership the more they play together.
Lindsay needs to learn better how to commit and to improve his distribution, but he's currently worth his place on merit.

I thought Collins showed him up in his cameo. Made 3 interceptions in under a minute and looks a far superior player.

Still don't rate him from the totality of what I have seen but he has been solid the past few. So certainly credit to him there. Hope he keeps it up and shows this is the actual player he is.

That's a fair enough opinion but in terms of that game Collins did nothing to show him up, he came on did what was needed which is obviously a good thing and that was about it. Full disclosure I don't agree that Collins is the better player just yet, I've seen some shocking defending and some good from him, the jury is still out for me.
