If he'd been in a team like Fulham, we'd see the Tom Ince from his Derby and Blackpool days. He needs to be in a proactive, dynamic and attacking side. Unfortunately in a static, disjointed team like ours that fails to initiate or keep momentum, Ince is a lost pony. His talent only emerges when others around him are on the front foot. But he can't work hard, track back or battle. He's a great player we've never seen the best of cos of what we are. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Weeeeeee, p**sing myself laughing at this.

40 games on the bench will do him no harm, in the interest of squad selection consistency.

What's happened to him?

He scored 6 and got 7 assists last season, which is a pretty decent return. Hence why I still like him. He's clealry having a bad patch but it doesn't mean there isn't a good player in there. He's lacking confidence and needs a goal. I think dropping him will help him too.

You show a great deal of patience for players that you like, even when they stink the place out. Very noble of you bayern......

I'd bring him on as an "impact" sub for the next few games if needed. Also, what's with this new trend of jeering players when they've not played well?

I think in the case of Ince, it's not the fact that he's playing badly, more that he appears not to give a flying fuck despite being a £10m signing and one of the clubs highest earners.....

I've seen us jeer Vokes and Afobe too though? I dont remember anyone doing it to Shaqiri, though he used to go AWOL more than most

It’s always someone else’s fault isn’t it. He’s been seriously poor for the last 2 and a half seasons and has never ever been a GREAT player. Never been a great player?! I appreciate there is debate about whether a great player is one who can adapt to any system and it looks like Tom only performs in an attacking formation, but when he has a system that suits him there is no denying he is totally proven at this level. He scored 37 goals and 17 assists over three seasons at Derby. That's not discounting the 18 goals and 14 assists in a bottom half of the table Blackpool side 7 years ago. Are you telling me that's not "great"?

Cant we loan him to Spain, it's a virtually non contact sport he might attract a buyer

Are you suggesting in all the years he's been here, including the heady days of his England call up he's never "done something for us" Joe Allen scored 4 goals and was involved in 6 assists last year, you don't show any patience for him either......

Jack Butland hasn't been good for us since his injury. He was one of the biggest liabilities in the relegation season, he was poor for months last season and he's been a disaster this. I'd have a lot more patience for Allen if he held his position and his second touch wasn't mostly a tackle.

I thought you'd be in the roll your sleeves up, run harder, challenge for every ball camp when it comes to trying to turn your form round. Not the wander round like your doing everyone a favour, pull out of tackles and generally hide whenever possible camp.

I'm for.
I have observed he is a bit of an 'out' for us if nothing else is on and we no longer have Crouchy to lump the ball up to.
To that end he does frequently receive the ball in poor positions with next to no support.
Given it's hard to dribble through the entire opposition I often wonder what he was supposed to do.

I don't think he's been particularly lazy. Against Fulham and Boro he was pressing and doing the work needed. And has been since MON came in really. Where he's failed miserably is in doing what he's paid to do. Score and create.

Are you telling me that's not "great"? Exactly what I’m telling you. Tom Pope has scored 109 goals for the Vale and around 20 for Crewe and Bury. Does that make him a great Centre Forward? If we gave Verlinden, N’goy and Campbell as many chances as the wastrel Ince has had, we’d see if they can play or not. He stays nowhere for any length of time because he’s a case of The Emperor’s new clothes- nothing of any substance there at all. I’d carry him on my back to the far ends of the country if we could get rid of him.

Personally I judge him off what I've seen at Stoke, and that's not much really.
He may be have been a player elsewhere however for Stoke he just hasn't really performed.

I’m not saying Tom Ince is slow tracking back but I took a video of him chasing his marker, and it’s still recording.
