I know we've had false dawns before but that's the 1st time we've come back to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat instead of the other way round in many a moon. Deservedly so too !

Biggest positive for me is that we've done that to a team in the top 6.
If it was against Barnsley etc I'd be absolutely shitting myself regardless of the 3 points.
Take it game by game now. Still a 4 point gap between 20th and 21st.

That 02/03 season when we nearly went down, didn’t we score a late late goal in a 3v2 win against Wednesday at home over Christmas too? Hopefully this win will give us the same bounce.

It won’t be one result that halts a decline, it’ll be when we finally string together 3-5 games unbeaten. We need to stop looking at these games like lightning strikes that will change everything.
What a fucking result though.

Was that Pulis's first win in charge? Thought it was same old same me old, wrong side of a ludicrous refereeing decision and conceding 2 against a very average side to go behind after being in front, like groundhog day. And then that! Has to be the turning point..

So pleased for the team and manager. Great result for us all. COYMP!

But I’ve seen this thread so many times over the last 3 years. If we string together some results then fair enough but we’ve been stung too many times.

the difference for me today, and it is crucial, is that 2-1 down (we have been there so many times) but we dug in and went not only for the equalizer but the win. cant fault fuck all today. Well in Stoke and the lazy pricks seem to realise what is required.

We are only just passed the half way mark with 24 games gone and 22 to go with 66 points up for grabs. On today’s performance we will stay up but on Friday nights we were down. It’s going to be a roller coaster ride so buckle up but we all know we have the quality and that will make a difference come May

The pleasing thing is we looked a threat against a top 3 team. Tyrese defo needs more games.

I think the thing for me is that at 2-1 down we at long last showed some balls that we are up for the fight and kept going until the end that gives me hope that stay up or go down we fight until the bitter end

There's a massive January coming up. Can't imagine we'll be doing much incoming business but the little we do will have a huge effect.
He needs to get a LB that he wants.

What a fucking result though. I agree, though I think today's result presages a change in mentality. I don't think we'd have had the resolve to come back in a game (that we deserved at least a draw from, given we were the better side for something like 50-60 minutes,) after conceding two goals a few months ago,so hopefully some self-belief is beginning to germinate.

Looking at the defending, probably not.Looked like we were going to lose a game where they made only one chance. And they scored two from corners, whoeful defending again.

Exciting as it was that's not the sort of performance to bank your season on. We bossed the game and still managed to concede two crap goals. I'd be far more confident of a something sustainable had we gone in at half time 2 or 3 up (which we should have been) and just saw out the second half.
For once we got lucky - but if we are to stay up luck has a role to play so maybe that's a good sign.

This is the first time this season that we have avoided losing two (or more) in a row. All of our defeats up to now have come in twos and threes and a four. I don’t know if that will resonate with the players, but it’s definitely a step forward and perhaps a sign that they are becoming a bit more resilient? Or perhaps it’s just a reflection of the fact that we’ve lost most of our games, so the chances of finding a solitary loss between a win and a draw is quite low anyway! LLDLLLLDLLWWLLLWWLLLWDLW
