Lou macari earns a lot less than Tony scholes ...and still manages to help 48 homeless stokies ( last count ) at the macari centre in Stoke
What exactly does Scholes do for the town ?

Bayern going all in on Angela I have done for the last God knows how many years. She’s too close to the club for the role on the supporters thing and I think it stinks.

I understand Angela has a job to do, but yes she does have close links with the club that no one else on the SC has. Seemingly Scholes doesn't get challenged on things much, if at all.
Clearly he's been met with absolutely 0 challenge on the pay rise either. We're being bent over here and being told 'take it'. It's not fucking on any longer.

100% agree with this. Waiting for "but we got you free travel to away games". Etc. Complete disconnect with the fans

Don’t shoot the messenger Angela only repeated the clubs position for the defence of the chief executive remuneration .
The fact is it’s pathetic and unforgivable response because 1 The role has overseen systematic failure for years , there should be no cost of living increase or any other for failure 2 Other key staff members players paid with their jobs or significant wage cuts .why hasn’t the ceo . 3 Given the scale of remuneration and the sale of assets to meet FFP you would expect the CEO to lead by example .
The crime was the increase , the defence is candidly even more despicable and deplorable

I notice the salary of the new Governor of the Bank of England is £495k per annum.
Not too shabby but he is responsible for the nation's financial well being.
It's just over half of Scholes pay.

Must admit from what bit I’ve heard she’s extremely tedious and comes across as not knowing what she’s on about, although she thinks she does but in a vey meek manner. Thankless task but surely there’s better more robust characters out there who can do the role.

The PM doesn’t even get half of the £495k as a base salary. Just think.... run an average sized football club = £900k, run a country = <£200k. It’s madness.

Just putting his total lack of incompitance to one side for a moment.... What an absolutely sickening amount of money him and all these people in football earn! In a way I am kinda glad I am falling out of love for the game above grass roots! Are you also going to fall out of love with using computers, buying things or searching for stuff on the internet? How about driving, banking or flying anywhere? Obviously you have no idea what senior executives in these industries earn.

When I go on holiday I am very rarely disappointed, when I buy a car again rarely disappointed, when I buy something again rarely disappointed because I like it..... watching Stoke......last 3-4 seasons disappointed would be a massive understatement!!! And just for the record there are very few companies where the CEO and its staff earn money on the same level as footballers!

Apparently it's not a news story, according to the chairman of the Supporters Council. How is it a news story? If we're going down this road then there are far more ridiculous financial absurdities to focus on, like that fact that struggling fans pay 30+ quid for a ticket to watch players who earn in a week what they do in a year. The story is the six-figure salary in the first place, not that said salary benefits from a standard inflation-related increase that everybody gets.

Im just amazed that all of us as fans have given tony scholes such an easy time. His name followed by the words "get out of our club" should be sung repeatedly during our games. Our silence is allowing him to continue in his role which is bringing our club to its knees.
We were told in the premier league what a well run club we were and how other promoted clubs looked to follow our lead. Well that lie has been well and truly exposed. I think scholes was hiding behind the great job tony pulis did in keeping us in the premier league. Since then he has had his finerprints all over the disastrous deals which has sunk us to the this level.
"Tony Scholes, get out of our club"

In addition to "don't you think it's fine to step down?" And "as the 5 year plan failed, is it not time for a complete overhaul? Where is the new plan?" Etc etc etc

I thought SC stood for Supporters Council not Scholes Cheerleaders. Jesus wept. Plenty of things to criticise Scholes for but the accounts don't lie his total package went down £91k the year we were relegated in 31/5/18 from 31/5/17 and went back up in accounts to 31/5/19, the note refers to a money purchase pension scheme, looking into it he seems to get a variable degree of pension contributions based on the financial performance of the club against targets seems reasonable to pay a CEO this way, obviously whether he should still be employed is another issue...... "A money purchase plan or money purchase pension is a type of defined contribution retirement plan offered by some employers. ... Instead of a fixed percentage of salary, a profit-sharing employer could decide to share a fixed amount of profit and distribute it to employees each year as a percentage of salary."

What profit? In any business by any matrix he has overseen sustained failure upon failure , to nit pick over the logic behind “ marginal salary adjustments is to miss the point , 1 He should have dismissed at each managerial failure , relegation and investment review 2 The Bare faced cheek to justify the unjustifiable is an indication of the culture of failure and lack of accountability he has created over his tenure

I don't get this logic. He is already paid a handsome salary to make those kind of decisions. It does not warrant a pay rise merely because he is doing his job. When he took the job was it not envisaged that as CEO he would have to make decisions to balance the books each year..through good times and bad? Bet365 are a private company so they can do what they want. If they think he is worth it then that is all that should matter.I would not be happy if I was a shareholder in a public listed company and under performance was rewarded in this way. There have been many examples of undue enrichment of executives of under performing businesses. I know Scholes does not pick the team but he is part of the whole and should not be unduly enriched at a time when the whole business is losing money. I wonder if there might be something more to it other than removing £33m off the wage bill? Cutting staff and wages is easy...especially when you don't have to manage the majority of the remaining assets that form the bulk of the costs and you can pass that responsibility onto the football manager. I supposes that may explain why MoN allegedly earns 75% more than Scholes. There isn't another Chief Executive in world football who would have survived the rapidity of the decline we've had and that's a cast iron fact. The fact that we reward the fucker for it sums up the state of the club. We deserve everything, absolutely everything coming our way. We are beyond ridicule. It's what happens when the chairman and CEO are mates. Coates junior is clearly a blithering idiot who the ceo, the players and assorted agents are fleecing while they can.
