your taking the piss your taking the piss Tony scholes your taking the piss Get out of our club Get out of our club Tony scholes get out of club Next match and certainly the next home game chants please. Won’t happen mate as without doubt there’s another fall guy waiting in the wings, at this shit stench of a club it’s always someone else’s fault. To put this into perspective “What’s all the fuss about”. The only tear I’ll shed if/when we go down is for the unbelievable fans, as for the Coates family I couldn’t give a shit about them, let them rot.

It’s up there with Joe Allen having his relegation pay cut clause removed. We are paying him his Premier League salary even though he’s been the most ever present in our demise.
Both need fucking off.

One of many reasons why I've fell out of love with our club and the game in general. Now got the full can't be arsed attitude.

This more than anything tells the story of why we are, where we are today. Pathetic complacency and the owners getting the full reward their incompetence deserves. It's not just the playing side either, I spent a grand for some club services recently, the people were nice but the processes and journey was as painful as fuck. Twice I nearly told them to shove it up their arse. I hope spending a grand on club services had nothing to do with Peter Foxes glove. Allegedly.

Controversial opinion he helped cut the wage bill by £33m paying less than 1% of that in extra salary to CEO would normally be considered a good deal, plus its not just salary its total remuneration package including pension, any bonuses etc etc Except that cutting the cloth is part and parcel of the job.

We've had a root and branch review and decided I should get a pay rise.
I almost admire the brass neck on him.

I sincerely hope this is the beginning of the end of the tolerance/ apathy from supporters towards that slippery teflon twat. I sort of respect the size of the stones of the cunt to try and get away with this. But he needs running out of this club.
Lecherous cunt.

Extract - Club Statement Following Relegation Unfortunately the squad became unbalanced and perhaps we lost some of the core values that have served us so well and are so crucial when you have a bad spell. It is absolutely clear that a major overhaul is required. We need to regain our identity and focus and the summer will be spent doing this. It is right that supporters will question whether we should have made a managerial change sooner. As a family we are inherently loyal people and this loyalty has served us well in business. We will always give people that little bit longer than most to prove themselves and this will continue.
View AttachmentRoughly translated as.... "We are thick as fuck and really do not understand how modern day football works, so what we will do is keep chucking stupid money at it this summer in an unstructured manner, and cross our fingers that we will get promoted at the first attempt. If this doesn't happen we will panic like fuck and keep making all the same mistakes as we have been making for the last 5 years or more, hiring shit managers along the way and letting them sign whoever the fuck they want even though the squad will keep getting more and more unbalanced and top heavy, with either shit players who don't want to be here or half decent ones with wank attitudes who also really don't want to be here".

The accounts do not name the director, but it has previously been known that the chief executive is the only director to draw a salary from the club as the others are chairman Peter Coates, vice chairman John Coates and Richard Smith.
So the figures appear to reveal that his wage actually increased by some margin after the club was relegated - £155,00 to be exact - while many players like goalkeeper Jack Butland took a pay cut after relegation because of clauses in their contracts.
Christ shit storm on the way 🤣 coincides with Jacks performances??

I applaud the club for such an astute move.
Such actions ensure Stoke City is able to retain the services of our top performers and to continue to compete at the top end of one of the most competitive leagues in world football.
Said nobody ever.
At least weasel face is still 100 grand behind me, the fucking loser.

Christ shit storm on the way Well you would certainly think so. How can this possibly be defended by the club? Maybe there could be an explanation/reason, but I can't see any reason at the moment.

Stoke city is a business. More than that it the heart of the community. Yes on relegation the wage bill needs to be lowered. To take away the win bonus and give himself an extra £155,000 is taking the piss out of our community club and the area. This to me is unforgivable Where does it say he gave it himself?

I don't know the terms of his contract but it seems he's had to work double hard since relegation. In 18 months 20 new players came in, while we tried to flog our excess past signings, with little success. If he receives a bonus for every player coming or going - again I have no knowledge of this but it would make (some) sense - then that explains the raise.

Hardcore stokies who go no matter what please get this fucker out and get the chant going and spread it. Fucking parasite lived off our prem success (which tony Pulis bought to the club, not him.)then has the balls to give himself a payrise whilst majority of others had cuts and fans have suffered this shit since and carried on paying to watch it. Fucking hound the bastard out.

I understand your point but There is no other business in a state of abject and sustained failure where the chief exec snd his remuneration would not come under scrutiny , it’s down to the local media now to really tackle it and if that creates a supporter backlash so be it . The bloke is an invisible lèader for most of the time so it’s one hell of a hourly rate 😉

I agree that you cannot vote Tory and complain about something like this. Why? Quite the opposite. Most conservatives believe that hard work= success = you get paid more. Tony Scholes = lazy ass leadership = failure = paid more.

Indeed he has but he's one of the most highly paid CEO's in football I would have thought. It'd be nice to think he wouldn't have guided us into this mess in the first place. Especially when he has such a hands on approach with the football side of things. Also, what kind of example does he set? You need to take a wage cut but I'm going to have an increase. I wouldn't be trying either if I was lead by such a charlatan. No idea where he stands with regard to other CEO's pay, he doesn't scout the players, he doesn't coach them, he literally signs the cheques once the coates approve the signing, plenty to criticise him for stuff in his control, commercial incomes, ticketing, parking, match day experience, online services etc etc but it isn't his fault the team has been shit for last 2-3 years. I think that's right. I suppose the only thing you might blame him for is the last the 3 managers which followed Hughes, that is Lambert, Rowett and Jones, the jury is still out on the present incumbent. I believe he gets a vote on that and indeed came out to defend the hiring 'process/criteria' on local media last week.

Where does it say he gave it himself? Pay himself means to me to morally accept a pay rise. When things are not right at the club. Why would he say no, who would.
