Swapping him for Badou would be amazing.
Edit: Nevermind, he's on loan.

Swapping him for Badou would be amazing. He wouldn’t get in a O’Neil team , who had a impeccable track record for not starting foreign World Cup players in midfield .

I thought he went real madrid for 170m? No he went to Sevilla, won the Europa league, then won the World Cup. He was a great player for us, who went on to have a good career.

I thought he went real madrid for 170m? Never a fan, were you, Sports? No mate. Had a great last 6 months when he was playing for a move and we as a team were playing great; but I spent ages in previous seasons getting really frustrated with the slow sideways play. There was always a place for him; I just wanted a high energy box to box Steven Gerrard type midfielder, who doesn't.

And we thought Joe fucking Allen could replace the absolute majesty of the Zonz.
This is why we are where we are.

If you walk out of your workplace and do not return you tend to get suspended pending an enquiry. The same rules apply to football club employees.
Well handled by Galatasary.

The 'had a great last six months' stuff is nonsense, he was comfortably our best midfielder from day one.

Attitude problem. That was one of my problems with him. I always said at the time he played with a spliff in. So laid back and a totally different kind of energetic midfielder that I preferred to have. Him alongside that type of midfielder would have been nice. The passing sideways and backwards always frustrated me, in fact he would fit in our side now! I always remember a home game I think against Sunderland in the prem and he was through on goal towards the boothen and stopped and turned back!! The crowd went mental. That was before his good 6 month spell of course. I remember bringing up bis stats when he left. Constant 7 out of 10, hardly any assists etc. Just not my high energetic type of midfielder is all. Doesn't mean anyone else is wrong or that I think he was shit. Not what I'm saying

The 'had a great last six months' stuff is nonsense, he was comfortably our best midfielder from day one. He completely transformed our midfield for the better. He was a class player. Before the Zonz we couldn't keep the ball in midfield. We started to control games when he came and Whelan became twice the player he was before. Best midfielder since Hudson and could be a long time before we see someone as good. How anyone can be moaning about NZonzi in light of the current shambles we have to endure is beyond me!!!! Allen should watch some videos of him to learn how to keep a football and what its meant to be for.
