No, he just has a attitude problem and a t**t of a dad, the big teams in this country wouldn't accept it. Exactly. Attitude problem. That was one of my problems with him. I always said at the time he played with a spliff in. So laid back and a totally different kind of energetic midfielder that I preferred to have. Him alongside that type of midfielder would have been nice. The passing sideways and backwards always frustrated me, in fact he would fit in our side now! I always remember a home game I think against Sunderland in the prem and he was through on goal towards the boothen and stopped and turned back!! The crowd went mental. That was before his good 6 month spell of course. I remember bringing up bis stats when he left. Constant 7 out of 10, hardly any assists etc. Just not my high energetic type of midfielder is all. Doesn't mean anyone else is wrong or that I think he was shit. Not what I'm saying When he turned it on be was as good as anyone, even half trying he was better than anything we've had. He controlled games and that game against Liverpool he was a tank!

The fact no premier league club; be it top 4, top 6, mid table, even bottom half never really sniffed for him since he left us must say something? I do like getting the sporty-nzonzi rod out every no and again 😁

As I’ve said time and time again.
Best midfielder I’ve seen in my lifetime at stoke.
What a player.

Anyone who doesn’t rate Nzonzi doesn’t get football. Was he the one that everyone said was lazy; had a bad attitude; broke up all of the attacks; passed sideways and backwards?
And then the penny dropped?

A very gifted player who had that rare ability to control the tempo of a game. There does seem to be a flaw in his character as to why he never really played for a top side, he was certainly capable.

So talented in fact that he made the game look very simple and easy - which on here leads to people believing him to be lazy and half hearted.

So Sevilla and Roma are not top sides then and so character flawed suppose he’ll just have to be satisfied with a World Cup winners medal and a UEFA Europa League winners medal. Waster!

Anyone who doesn’t rate Nzonzi doesn’t get football. You say rate nzonzi. I never didn't rate nzonzi. I just thought and still do that his performances for us weren't right up there until right at the end when he was obviously playing for a move and at the same time the whole side just performed. For someone that is constantly lauded on here as a world beater for us, I don't remember a while host of clubs banging the door down for him when be was this world beater for years for us. I more remember plenty of moans and groans from the stands in frustration for large parts. You would have thought someone like wenger would have been going mad for him.

I thought he went real madrid for 170m? No he went to Sevilla, won the Europa league, then won the World Cup. He was a great player for us, who went on to have a good career. I’d rather keep Badou. Obviously Nzonzi is going nowhere fast and the last thing we need is a disruptive big headed prima Donna.

I'm sure he'll look at his world cup winner's medal and not lose too much sleep over it. He'll be rightly proud of his world cup medal but may question why much of his career was spent at Blackburn Rovers and Stoke. Like I said, clearly talented but maybe a character flaw?

But it took him to Sevilla, the Europa League, the Champions League and Roma, big clubs if not the absolute apex. He seems to have the same character issues as Nicolas Anelka, a moodiness, encouraged by his parasitic family, to keep him moving and making them all stacks of cash. Brilliant player though.

I've not said he wasn't a brilliant player, my argument is that he was better than his club record shows. He was capable of playing at the very top but his attitude/character prevented that. He's just been loaned out by Roma and then suspended by Galatasaray after spending his prime years playing for Blackburn and Stoke.

I agree with you he probably could have played for an even bigger club and he clearly has issues.

That does not reflect negatively on NZonzi at all. My God, if we just had one player who was half the player of Huddy now we would have some hope, inspiration, entertainment and a better position in the League table. If we had anyone who was half the player of NZonzi we'd be a hell of a lot better off too.

He would still walk into any midfield in the PL. Any idea why he doesn't? Because he’s an overpaid, overrated, over-the-Hill marde arse.

Badou and Etebo could not lace Nzonzi’s boots. They run, they drive forward but they can’t pass- I know Nzonzi could be frustrating, but if he is good enough to be a WCW with France, trust me, he’s light years too good even now for SCFC. What would be the point of passing it forward with this lot- to Ince hiding behind his man? To Vokes who couldn’t chase Charlize Theron? Clucas who would wave his arms like Dr. Strange to create some space portal?
