Well I arrive Early and leave late, does that mean my dick is bigger than it looks? Early to search out a few old friends, maybe a drink and a pie, a natter to the stewards, yes, they can talk. Then a wander up to my seat to hang my flag, yes I'm the lone fan with a flag that the sentinel always use. Last out of the stand to allow time for the penguin path to Heron Cross to clear. But Hey I only live ten minutes walk away so I'm alright. I could leave home 20 minutes before kick off and still be in my seat but I don't, I make the choice to do what I do. That's the point, everyone has a choice and no-one has the right to challenge that choice.
Now those that go to whinge and slag our players? Don't get me started.

I don't get why people leave early but it's their choice. Get over it.

Official Club Announcement: All ticket holders will be issued with, and permitted to use a taser on any person who; 1. Arrives late (for any reason) 2. Goes to the toilet during the game 3. Requires emergency medical attention during the game 4. Leaves their seat early before the half time whistle (for any reason )5. Returns late to their seat after half time and play has resumed 6. Goes to the toilet (again) 7. Leaves before the final whistle (for any reason) Please note: If any supporter is in doubt as to whether they should taser a fellow supporter in accordance with the above or any other legitimate inconvenience they should seek advice from a nearby safety steward beforehand (although it might be to late then) Alternatively detailed guidance is available from the supporters council View AttachmentThats me screwed other than 1 and 3 but if I don't do number 2 then I will require number 3.

I thought there were less early leavers yesterday, the stands were still pretty full when Mame scored, whether that had a positive impact on the team who knows.

Probably because at least half the crowd had confidently predicted he'd get a last minute winner (I went for last minute corner) as soon as he set foot on the hallowed turf. 😊

We have a lady near us who invariably leaves before the 80 minute mark something to do with "trains". I don't really care when she leaves, but you do wonder what would happen if most of our interesting play happens in the 80+ minute. It's generally only a little bit of organisation that can solve these problems, I guess some are just stuck in their ways.

There actually was quite a good mental in the bus queue actually chief. I'm really chuffed that your penis is bigger than mine as well! You had your cocks out? I normally do as a general rule. It's so small and inoffensive that nobody really cares.

If people didn't leave early then last minute mentals wouldn't be quite so good, because there'd be less space to bounce around. If anything this should be a thread of gratitude.

Who cares ffs They left the house today and paid their cash to watch Stoke City so it’s their call what time they leave Save the wrath for those who’ve turned their back on it Agree, rather have those that turn up and support but go early than those that are only there for the Premier ( people on the breadline, i can understand though)

This is one argument I’ve never understood. Who gives a fuck? It’s not stopping you enjoying the game is it. Spot on - pay your money and take your choice? Besides, what's been served up over the last three seasons hardly justifies any sort of holier than thou, die hard, stay to the bitter end bollocks does it?

Who give a toss if you want to leave early then do it if you don't stay! Is it going to affect you that early leavers may have missed the goal? Do you think that the supporters can ever affect the performance of the players and therefore the result of the match: or do you really think the crowds at a football match have the same effect on the game as the crowd at a cinema? If I thought my support was merely a financial matter I don't think I'd bother. Not slagging anyone else, just pondering why I support a football club.

People have all sorts of reasons why they do what they do, and as others have said it’s their choice. I know someone who occasionally has to be at work for 6 on a Saturday so leaves early otherwise he wouldn’t get there on time, as he said, better to go to the game and watch 80mins than not at all.
Easy to judge but it’s the real world and people all have their own reasons.
Ps slightly off topic but I remember reading about a guy who went all the way to Istanbul to watch the 2005 champions league final, and walked out at half time because Liverpool were 3 down lol

Poor bloke must have quite a miserable existence if someone doing what they are fully entitled to, legally and without it being his business gets him so enraged that he has to start a thread on here about it. It’s a shame actually.

It must be the difference between winning and losing games. When we win - the threads start ....
Would it be reasonable to conclude from that, that when fans leave early we win?
Chew that one over.

I sit in the new corner now after spending the whole of my previous time since the stadium opened in the boothen, the people in that corner sing and chant and get behind the team for most of the match and I do join in, thus far apart from a few games this has little or no effect on what the players do on the pitch! The football match it's self is only part of the day for me, meeting up with friends having something to eat and drink and a good old chin wag then lately 90 mins that put a downer on the day. I've said it before and I'll say it again fans shouldn't have to motivate players who earn more in a year than we'll never earn in a lifetime that said they give us something to shout about and we will!

Anyone defending leaving early seems to treat the comments like it's an attack on their freedom. They are obviously free to go. But the people who dont get it are just as free to share their opinion on leaving early. It's not a crime to talk about it or even criticise. I just don't get it if the match is in the balance. If you're 3-0 down or up you know who's won barring an absolute freak few minutes so I get people going then. I just dont get why you leave early if theres a chance to see your team grab a late win or draw or hold a lead. The thrill of seeing your team do that gets you up shouting and dancing!!. There's nothing like it. Those moments are what you come for! You dont have the same euphoria from getting in 20 minutes earlier because you beat the traffic!! I don’t get why you’d give a fuck?
