Stewards with tasers waiting by the exits? Anyone leaving early should have their tickets confiscated, and they should never, ever, be allowed to set foot on the hallowed ground that is the Bet365 Stadium again.
Tasers? AK47 assault rifles at the very least!
What about those who arrive late for all manner of genuine reasons? Can we taser them as well?

Anyone defending leaving early seems to treat the comments like it's an attack on their freedom.
They are obviously free to go. But the people who dont get it are just as free to share their opinion on leaving early. It's not a crime to talk about it or even criticise.
I just don't get it if the match is in the balance. If you're 3-0 down or up you know who's won barring an absolute freak few minutes so I get people going then. I just dont get why you leave early if theres a chance to see your team grab a late win or draw or hold a lead.
The thrill of seeing your team do that gets you up shouting and dancing!!. There's nothing like it. Those moments are what you come for! You dont have the same euphoria from getting in 20 minutes earlier because you beat the traffic!!

If I don't leave early for Monday night or midweek games I don't get home until gone 1am (to start work in Manchester at 7am, the Mrs kills me as well waking her up. Bitter blue). That being said, for certain games it's worth the tiredness the next day, Derby et al. Never leave early for a weekend game though, ever. Just because of moments like today, ABSOLUTE MENTAL!.

If you want to stay, you can stay. If you want to leave, then you can leave. If you want to come home and then moan about it on an internet message board, you are free to do so. If on the other hand you do not wish to come home and moan about it on an internet message board, please feel free to not do so.
If there are people that want to stay, and I mean not leave at all, Go Outdoors do supply some tremendous equipment to help you do so. This is probably quite good advice at this time of year.
If some people choose to not go at all, that is entirely your choice - you will however be castigated and forever be a "fuck off up the Vale" ite.
Some people may chose to go to the match, but half way there, think "Fuck it, lets stay in a pub and get pissed". Again, that is completely their choice. Please be aware though that the Govt has issued guidelines on safe drinking limits - "Units". I don't have a fucking clue what comprises a "Unit", but I have always subscribed to the belief that whatever something is - more has to be better.

Ah but you see, if you leave early you are not really a proper fan. Obvious really, but I suppose that we do need reminding from time to time .. Only one acceptable reason for leaving early - if we're being stuffed and these zero chance of a comeback ..... Isn’t that when the team needs your support the most? It’s easy to support a team that’s winning.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 well done you, give yourself a big clap! People have to leave games early for a whole host of reasons. I leave early due to an injury sustained years ago, whether we're winning, losing or drawing matters not, I leave on about 83mins to get down the steps & away before the rush to ensure a safe trouble free exit. I'd rather not do but have to. Missing last minute goals really dont fuss me & never has, just one of them things, always done it always will. But you enjoy & celebrate tonight those who have genuine reasons to leave early if it makes you feel better! Seems like i touched a nerve, i go the cinemas me and leave 15 mins before the end, just love getting out before the mad rush and off the carpark before the mad stampede hahaha. At least try make up a better excuse pal.. A old chap sits by me with walking sticks and always stays until the end taking his time leaving his seats.. You dick

This is one argument I’ve never understood.
Who gives a fuck? It’s not stopping you enjoying the game is it.

As a small lad I went to the midweek League Cup match against Scunthorpe in 63/64 season on the PMT special from Audley. As per many lads of that era we stood in the 'kiddies pen' at the bottom of the Boothen End. For us youngsters it was always a battle (especially at night) to get through the throngs of adults leaving the Boothen, down past the Main stand, past supporters leaving the Town end and to the PMT garage (somewhere near the cemetery). There was never a check on who had made back to the bus before it left, and not knowing any other way of getting back to Audley, I and a couple of school pals decided to leave just before full time with the score 1-1 (I think). We dashed to the PMT garage located our bus (They were all PMT buses) and waited.......and waited.... We hadn't realised there was extra time and the match ended 3-3. Lesson learned!!

Have not read the preceding three pages but have to say. I took my grandson today for in effect his first game. He loved it with his new Stoke hat and scarf on. I did have to keep explaining things to him and eventualy got round to, “How long to go” as we were on 85 mins. Five mins to go, shall we go now ? No. Anything could happen. Ninety mins, five mins injury time. Shall we go? No we are going to nick this. When we scored , He and I had a mental. Still coming down from it. EDIT. His first. My first for a long time. Brilliant that mate hope you had a cracking mental with him and what a way to finish his first game. Had a great mental with my son there is nothing like it although my shins are sore this morning 😂

First time I have done it in a long time due to another commitment, was I in a bad mood when I got home, stayed until 87 min and thought I would just get a head start out of the carpark ,I even arrived early just to make sure I was near the exit. Heard the announcement that there would be 5 min added and thought then f**k they will score now you just watch. Well from now on I don't move until the ref leaves the pitch and family can just bloody wait .
