Its time to end this tragic farce now, its pretty clear Jones is an imposter, he needed more time to develop as a manager before taking a job like stoke, i said from the beginning he was too inexperienced and it was too much, too soon for him. Stoke need to put him out of his misery now and let him rebuild his career elsewhere.

He's really starting to take the piss with his comments, complete waffle from bloke who's shown nothing in the 9 months he's been here.
Baffled how he's not been sacked.
Will go down as one of the worst managers we've had in our long history.

Think we'll win tomorrow night mate and maybe get a battling defeat or even draw on Saturday and that will drag out the misery even longer? I can just see PC in an old rain coat and cigar saying "Just one more game" for a while yet?

GET HIM OUT ALREADY Its getting both Tedious & Very Boring Now he's full to the Very brim of Shit he now makes Rowett sound like pep in comparison .......... Or; ' Deluded Stoke fan thinks he knows what's better than the club owners and the manager. ' I think deluded is a bit off, we’re bottom of the Championship, that is fact not delusion.

When Jones came we were CL midtable in free fall. And where are Luton, the club he could have stayed with, now? Lower midtable and climbing. It's remarkable how many who always said Jones was too inexperienced and his talking the talk didn't add up, already in January (I'm not saying you didn't, I just don't remember). I said exactly the same at the same time, which brought me huge amounts of put-down, shut-up antagonistic messages. Now I'm saying we should stick with Jones, i.e. almost the exact opposite, though my criticism remains. Now I'm getting huge amounts of put-down, shut-up antagonistic messages. Kind of funny, really.

Let deal with facts. He signed 10 players to build a team. Now he said he wants to build a team around 6 player. Only two players in the 6 mention are his players, leaving 8 of his players who don't fit in.
Makes loads of sense.

He has named 6 players to build team around! He has thrown the rest on the bonfire. Granted, a good number of the unnamed are suspect, but if that is his his primary "6" - the guys gone bloody bonkers. It's not exactly going to make Badou and Etebo want to push further on for him, is it?

“Is another manager going to eradicate those (mistakes by players)?" Reminds me of Hughes' "Who else is going to do it?" comment.Who, as it turns out, was spot on! I think the answer to Hughes' "who else is going to do it?" was "anyone but Paul Lambert".

Oh I have extremely broad shoulders, anyone picks a fight with me, be prepared for a sarky comeback I'm definitely not "simply saying" I want him to stay. I've given extensive pros and cons. Ideally I wouldn't want him to stay a second longer, but 1) No sane manager will take the job 2) He's signed more than 50% of the current squad. Those summer signings haven't exactly worked out well, but they have only been here nine games, it's too early to say that they can't improve, and if anyone has seen the/some good in them, it's Nathan Jones. So while they're still settling in, it's best that he's the one to direct them. Because I simply don't think any "insane" (as opposed to the "sane" above) manager is going to want to work with many of those players, if they still haven't settled in after a half season. We can't pretend we didn't sign them. It was very misguided, but they're here for another ½-2½ years, so something needs to be done with them 3) It appears that the owners are prepared to take the bad before it gets good. 4) BUT. There is a deadline of sorts on January 1. The board obviously won't allow 10 further signings, but they can probably be persuaded to a couple of very well prepared signings, even at a price. Given Jones' perfection of poor signings, should he trusted with further cash? If he hasn't succeeded in making significant progress, then the answer can only be no.

I was lobbying for a Moyes or Allardyce back when Jones was appointed.

It's absolutely astounding, he has clearly lost the plot. To build a side around the players largely responsible for us being where we are whilst ignoring 2 players that were head and shoulders above the rest v Forest just beggars belief. Incredible.

What planet is this guy on, totally deluded! It's all gone totally surreal hasn't it?! and we thought we'd seen it all before with Leslie. This has gone a whole mile further in it's stupidity. What are they all doing at Coates Towers? Do they read this waffle that he's spouting? Mr Coates , I thought, knew a thing or two about football. How can he he watch the very poor man's Arnautovic (Ince) and the Welsh answer to everything, Allen and think'all's well?' with James Mclean floundering around out of position It really MUST be that we have no other option! Everyone's said a big, fat 'NO' to us and Jones knows it. I'm at a complete loss and don't even know myself why I'm posting anymore! How f@cking sad is this whole mess. Beyond any or our wildest nightmares I'd say! TOTALLY BIZARRE!

Yes Nathan. A different manager WILL play a different way with different personnel.
He might recall Verlinden and buy a left back, for starters.

As with a lot of things in life probably I just prefer it when everything is working smoothly. Possibly then I fall back to a situation where i feel it is better not to rock the boat any further and let matters run their course. The basis of this philosophy is that if you can't change things, just let the inevitable happen. Choose your battles and fight the ones that you have a chance of winning
I voted to remain in Europe in the referendum vote, but the country didn't. It is unlikely that I can change this situation so I accept it and go with the flow. I don't support Brexit but I believe that it will inevitably happen.
I have strong doubts and reservations about Nathan Jones as a Manager, but the fact remains that for the moment at least he is still our Manager. Jones is still learning but he is the Guy in place at the moment and I don't think now that we can hope for better simply by changing horses in mid stream. Therefore perhaps we should back him and hope fervently that at some point things might start moving in the right direction again.
So stick with Mr Jones and accept that this might be a bumpy journey.

Sorry mate, I don't buy into this theory that there is no manager out there willing to manage this club. Are we suggesting Moyes would prefer to sit on his arse and not earn money? If Moyes wants a job as a football manager and Stoke City offered him that job, as long as the money and conditions are right, he would take it. Same goes for Hughton. As bad as our position is, we are known to have wealthy owners, who tend to stand by the managers side when things aren't going well (too long for most). We have the biggest budget in the league, the biggest squad, full of potential. The job would make him probably the most well paid in this league and perhaps better pay than quarter of the Premier League. I am sorry, but with 80% of the season still to play for, I cannot see managers saying no to that, unless they have something else lined up, or are not currently interested in managing a football team.

What have you been smoking? Lindsay, McClean, Cousins et al. Full of potential? As for the managers you mention they're both on severence pay, so they would have to waive their rights for that, and while it is theoretically possible that we can aim higher, it doesn't exactly look likely. Far more likely seems at this point that they will manage a L1 club next season, by which time they will have faded into obscurity for the clubs that they would really like to manage. So, no, no sane manager will want us, but time will tell who's right, IF they do as you desire but not what I think is more likely, given that our owners tend to stand by the managers side when things aren't going well...

I've lost count of the number posters on here that have said, if he doesn't win this or that next game, he's gone. I can't recall when it started, but it's been going on for weeks, next game, after next game, and the one before, and the one before that. And yet he will still be here next week, next month, and the one after, and the one after that, and then he may not.
