As someone said in the Wizards of Drivel a few weeks ago. TP-type managers are dead. They're failing in almost every job they take on and they're slowly moving further and further away from the limelight. I won't be watching if he comes back. But we’re failing now, all Pulis has to do is get us up the league and maybe sniffing around the top six, which he undoubtedly has the ability to do, and he’s succeeded. For him to fail at stoke he’d have to get us relegated.

Do we really want to go back to this: www.football365.com/news/premier-league-hall-of-shame-stoke-cityEven though he had gone 5 years he still left us with a terrible reputation. He made us the most despised club in the Prem. and many were delighted when we were relegated and laugh at our position now. If we were to re-appoint him they would say " The Stoke thugs have reverted to type, appointing a publicly denounced liar and reverting to neanderthal football." That was pretty much just the media, Arsenal fans and people who didn't know that much about football. And we thrived on it. Not that I want Pulis back (though I do like him and my favourite times as a Stoke fan were under him). I'm still hoping Jones can turn things around. I don't know what I'll think if we're still bottom by the end of September.
