I must admit I was starting to waver more out of despondency then anything else however, today’s press conference has brought be back round.
He’s flat out admitted he shouldn’t have taken woods off, then explained why he did it, then said if he could do it all again he wouldn’t make the sub.
Fair play Nathan Jones, you have certainly got the backing from me, and I believe you will turn this around.

Hope so mate. Thing is though, one of the few things we've been genuinely good at over the last 18 months is admitting our mistakes after games?

It was good to hear it but still concerning that he didn’t seem to have a clue what went wrong immediately post match. I don’t think it changes much. Reminded me of Rowett “in big enough to admit X” said reluctantly and too late when directly confronted with the question.

Agreed however I feel that jones has the best for the club in his mind, not like Rowett who was about himself. Ultimately we’ll see if he learns. I also enjoyed the way he slammed the media about Butland and basically to them to fuck off and stop unsettling him.

He sounded a lot more upbeat than he has in the last week or two, I think he was genuinely enthused by Saturday. And good to hear him take individual responsibility for a specific mistake, big contrast from Rowett's grand-but-vague "I'm man enough to admit it when..." before generally going on to get arsey about a question or throw somebody under the bus.

I think back to him talking about managing Barcelona when he first joined and at the time didn’t think much of it but now I just think it’s arrogance and he’s genuinely deluded. I just hope I’m wrong. A lot of what he does seems naive and being so he’ll bent on this diamond without the players just seems daft.

Shame we haven't been as good at rectifying the same mistakes over and over and over again, it's all well and good admitting your mistakes it's a totally different kettle of fish when it comes to eradicating them, that goes for all at the club from the board to the players sick of all the lip service, hype and horse shit coming out of the club ! shut the fcuk up and put it right for once.

We have a young manager, who has a plan/philosophy/ideology on what he wants to achieve with our football club. He will make mistakes, but what is really refreshing is that he is ready to identify those mistakes and openly talk about them. That is how people improve, in any job. I would much rather have that kind of person in charge than a Big Sam or a TP or anyone else of that nature. Football is moving ever so further away from those characters.

Sounds like he has multiple personalities, "we this," "we that." I wonder which one is going to come out on top in the end.

TP never admitted anything. Not MH either.

One sub didn't cause us to lose.
It is a group of gutless charlatans with no passion, desire or game intelligence.
We are also a one paced bag of shit.
Fucking shit in every way, after another fucking shit transfer window where once again we've totally ignored all the reasons why we are fucking relentlessly bastarding shit.
Looking forward to another season void of any sort of joy, and every fucking weekend tinged with the disappointment of our endless shittyness

I like the bloke. I like his passion, his hunger. I’m also prepared to give him time with this new look squad. His squad.
I think we’ll make the play offs but just miss out at the final hurdle this time around. But we all, eventually will see a massive improvement and hopefully the club will galvanise and be united again.
Yes, yes I know about his record last season but I’m judging him now and this season.

We would've got a point as easy as you like on Saturday, no danger at all of losing the game and maybe if he kept it the same we would've nicked the 3 points. Instead Jones rolled the dice and went for it which bit him and us on the arse big time. Hopefully it's a lesson learnt.

I'm not defending the substitution, but we've had plenty of posters and supporters going mad whenever Pulis or Lambert would shut up shop at the end against apparently inferior teams instead of rolling the dice and going for it - that's the risk that you take.

Before his fuck up the diamond was working fine, he just needs to be braver in his team selection like he was with dropping Vokes, we know it didn't work against QPR but it's still a big call to drop your big striker signing.
