4/10
Key positions not properly filled
Some decent players but need to utilise the foreign market a lot more
Will upgrade to a 5 when the bomb squad goes

I like the 5 p.m. finish. It means I can have my Horlicks at the usual time and not have to worry about falling asleep before the final deals are announced!

I don't know much about Duffy, the rest haven't improved on what we previously had. Youth pushed down pecking order. 2/10

When we get to the Northern Premier League we will have some of the top performers from that league already! Can I rate it in October?

With not managing to get any money in by shifting Butland Etebo and so on spending so much on Vokes back in Jan seems to have hampered us this window.

7/10 purely because more exciting youth signings would be good. We're not fishing in a multi million pound Premiership income pond any more, folks.

3/10 +s Intrigued by Duffy. (Think it might be the back up when if the diamond gets shelved!) Powell was good business early on and can understand Gregory. Lindsay at 2m is fine, decent business for a young CB.
-s The bottom line is we are playing a diamond without a wingback on either side, with a second rate DM and one injury prone CAM. 4 positions are therefore occupied by players without the skills or stamina to do the job. Hogan, Cousins - no thanks.
Lack of enough outgoings.
We feel like "a Birmingham" now. Fully arrived in the Championship.

Have we actually signed anyone better than we already had? Powell and Carter Vickers are maybes. No one that really creates a buzz signed and not addressing the left back problem is a mind blowing cock up of the highest order. Jones has put his c*ck and b*lls on the block and, if QPR game was a sign of things to come, he could soon be talking in a very high voice. I pray not but am not feeling particularly confident at the moment. It's a hopeful 4 from me.

We all knew we would struggle to move on a lot of the deadwood although one or two of the likes of Imbula & Ndiaye could still move abroad. The majority of the players we have brought in are at the best ordinary. Powell could turn out OK and Vickers might be half decent, but all in all its only a 5 from me.

I'm going to be old fashioned and judge things in a few weeks/months based on performances on the pitch. I hope to be pleasantly surprised. Only time will tell but it seems fair to give the new players/team a chance.

3 at most.
Jones asked for time and then be judged.
Well I’m sorry in what other line of work could you possibly blag your way in then basically turn up the same shit you’d served up for the past 23 games or so.
This is not what he promised and nothing recruitment wise to even think he’s got the foggiest what he’s doing, I mean look at our LB, an absolute pigs ear of a manager.

3 Too much signing players on the way down rather than on the way up. There's no chance of us looking beyond Dover and finding a Timo Pukki is there?

No one we’ve signed is an improvement on what we had.
We’ve spent the most money on the position we needed least.
We haven’t signed a left back.
We still an adequate DM.
We have a keeper we have signed and signed to be the number one but actually he needs a loan.
Powell and Duffy look decent but keeping both happy and the others will be tough.

We've done nothing about the midfield which has been the crisis area of our team since Joe Allen signed.
Our big signing was for the only position in our team that functioned well last season anyway.
0/10 for me.
Fucking rubbish

Come back with your ill-considered knee jerk reaction or don't bother at all.

Outgoing 9/10
I'm just thrilled that we got rid out of Berahino. I was convinced that he/his lawyers would find a way for him to sit it out for the remaining three years. That Afobe also is out is just the icing on the cake. We still have some players on the books who've been excluded, but if we show the same intent and stealth they could still be moved on before the international windows all close.
Incoming 3/10 On the one hand I'm pleased we signed Powell. But the fact that we signed so many others means that Jones will not rest until every player at this club is a Jones signing. I expect him to sign several more in the next window. The other thing is this means that the academy door which seemed wide open on June 30 is fully slammed to for all the academy prospects. Jones will not play them in the efl unless in absolute emergency, which got Collins a game at the weekend, but he has still not been picked on merit and it's a long time before he will.
