Shouldn’t rate it fully until we see how many more we can get out?

No pace = no goals
We are relegation fodder I suspect = bottom 6

I'd give it an 8/10 - Great on the outgoing front, and some real quality and battlers brought in.
I'm excited.

5/10 10 (ten!) Players in The exit of a high profile wastrel No natural LWB No natural DM No pacey Striker A plethora of CB's We remain unbalanced and slow Poor Scott Hogan has lots of pace Just a bit shit at everything else by the sounds of it

We've ended up with 3 target men when you can only play 1 at a time, 5 centre backs, even allowing for Ryan's injury, 3 right wingers when we don't play with wingers and no left back. Little of the deadwood moved on.....so I'd sum it all up as bewhildering and disappointing.

Ten players in
Duffy,Powell,Carter-Vickers, Lyndsey,Smith Confident these are good signings Gregory,Ward, sensible cover Davies, no idea tbh Cousins - can only say thought he played fine Saturday, did his job (I know many thought he was awful). Hogan, not inspired tbh but he is fast for sure.Maybe he can find his Brentford form, seems unlikely but good luck to him
Outs: Afobe gone, delighted Happy with the other outgoings
Still more to shift
Not happy with lack of quality Justin,Gayle would make a big difference Goalscoring seems very hard still.
Very pleased with the characters in
Overall 6 maybe a 7 I think.

1/10
Purely for Lindsay because he might be alright.
The rest is utter wank.
"Fast, attacking, young, fit players" was what we were promised.
We got
Old, slow and injury prone.
We then got rid of Bojan.

Part of me thinks the first wave of transfers (Ward, Cousins, Lindsay, Davies, Powell and maybe Smith) were all in Jones plans for Luton and he’s just decided to sign them for us despite the season expectations being totally different

5 - if he wasn’t playing a diamond
1 - if he sticks to this diamond (and the 1 is only because we somehow kept hold of Etebo)

4. Uninspiring to say the least.
Really like Gregory, Lindsay, Carter-Vickers, Powell and Hogan.
Cousins is a bit poor.
Smith wrongly dislodges the best right back in the league.
Davies gets more strange by the day.
Duffy and Ward are not the youthful type I had expected.
And the sight of James McClean at LB boils my piss. I like him, he is just a bit shit.

Some totally uninspiring signings like cousins and ward and some potential decent ones like duffy and hogan.
A definite mindfuck of a window.

A solid 7 - I am not sure what most expect!!! He was left with a sack load of oxygen thieves on huge wages and many on here expect him to perform miracles.
We have bought a decent keeper in case Jack leaves, good competition for Tom at right back, 2 good young centre backs, 2 creative number 10s, 2 strikers with decent records in this league, yes left back and holding midfielder could be issues, but I always felt Jones would need 2 or 3 windows to tidy this mess up. He has also identified the wasters, got rid of some and is clearly open to offers for the others. A bonus is that we have not lost anyone who we wanted to keep.

All seems a bit haphazard to me.
Why did Afobe play last Saturday if he was off, or did he only decide last minute?
Dash to get in a CB after Ryan’s injury CCV decent player but don’t think we needed him.
Where is Duffy going to play? Hogan looks like a massive gamble and at first glance he looks as unfit as Vokes did when he joined.
Gregory will be decent I think.
NJ wanted specialists for his wingbacks, JMcC and LWB doesn’t compute, can’t see him playing there for long, expect Clucas to play there instead.
If Jones had bigged up his aspirations and our hopes I’d be less deflated.
However, it is what it is.

4 Lots of players coming and has made the squad stronger but the first xi still looks decidedly average although the addition up front is welcome. The likes of Ward, Gregory, Carter Vickers and Duffy are squad fillers or on the bench at best. The most interesting aspect is who is on the bench Jones's preferred starting xi is pretty much decided.

9 Butland Allen Etebo , good ability championship players,we've at least two players for each position. We've young lads with potential. I know no BMX. I'm looking forward to our season Yes the odd cross might be poor. The youngsters will make mistakes. We've lads who will give their best for 90+ minutes. If Saturday was their best God help us all, really looking forward to watching McClean and Smith struggling as wing backs and Cousins passing backwards and sideways well done to Nath and the transfer team for adding to the huge pile of deadwood we already own, how many youngsters are you expecting to see on a regular basis by the way ?

At this instant I will give it 8/10. At 15.05 on Saturday I might change my mind. I hope not. I am always the optimist so come on lads prove your belief that Jonesy has bestowed on you.

5/10 - Very underwhelmed with our transfer business, we have effectively signed mediocre championship players that dont improve on what we already had. The most concerning thing for me against QPR despite the new signings was signs that things seemingly had'nt changed it was as if the malaise and hangover had carried over from last season. If NJ doesnt doesnt arrest that he could well find his fate similar to rowett and be out the door i also look at the transfer business other clubs have done and they seem light years ahead of us in terms of transfer stratergy an example would be seeing west brom sign charlie austin for £4m while we splashed out £19m on vokes and afobe i just cant see what our transfer policy is at all.

We obviously weren't prepared to go for it this season. FFP could have been a major factor but our transfer team remains stagnant. Could be here for a while. Ambition seems to have ceased.
