How do we define success this season?
Sure anything above last has to be viewed in a positive sense but wont dull the bitter taste in the mouth of not getting promoted.
Top 6 and making the play off final will be success for me.
Anything less and it's really just regressing

Depends doesn’t it, we have already lost Shawcross before a balls been kicked, if we loose say Powell and Etebo to long term injuries then a top ten finish might be seen as a good season.
Touch wood everyone says fit and we can push for playoffs

Higher than last season. Arrest the decline. I don’t think it’s realistic to expect us to be challengers at the very top end but if we’re in with a chance of the playoffs still come March, I’ll be happy.

When we can look back at almost every match and say, what a fucking effort.... and a cracking day out.

Not being bored to tears. Actually looking like we’re trying to score a goal. I’m easily pleased and not expecting play offs unless something changes in the January window.

Especially if we bomb the last 5-10 games or so

If we are there or there about come Xmas I think we’ll see a massive push in the January Window, very disappointed if we didn’t. We’ll have some form of idea after about 8 > 10 games

On a macro scale, playoffs and/or promotion.
But if I'm being honest a simply more enjoyable season wouldn't go amiss and I don't think I'd dismiss it as a failure.

If we finish top half that's a decent amount of progress.
Anyone demanding promotion after the season we've just had is living in cloud cuckooland I'm afraid.

There were plenty demanding it last season, which in my opinion was more cloud cuckoo land. We've had a season to see what this league is all about, we've kept hold of all the players our manager wants to keep and he's also added to that squad with players he's hand picked. I wouldn't go as far as saying anything less than play offs is definite failure but surely our owners will be expecting top six as a minimum, won't they?

A good season is promotion via the play offs and great season is winning promotion in the top two direct. Anything else would be disappointing.

Top half, playing the kind of energetic, attacking football we've been promised, with signs in the performances that the diamond is the way forward after all and is starting to take root. That'll do for me.

I want to see a team that know like look like they what they’re doing and have a plan. We haven’t had that now for 3 and a half years.
And tbh that’s hat disappointed me most with the game at the weekend. I didn’t see a semblance of that when I thought I would.

Entertaining football finishing top 10 with a cup run would be massive progress imho.

Having something decent to watch at home games instead of being bored shitless for 90 minutes would be good enough for me. Hopefully with that comes goals and points and hopefully the playoffs.

Personally, the same as it has been for the last nearly 60 years; to win the majority of home games, with ideally a bit of "get me out of my seat" football here and there and a few new enjoyable memories for my dotage.
Anything over and above that would be an enjoyable bonus.

If we finish top half, score more goals than last season, play more exciting football than last season, stop missing penalties, and score at least one late winner I’ll be happy.

Positive football and a top 8 finish will do for me, I think it will take a bit longer than most think.

Has to be promotion while we still have parachute payments. Anything below 4th would be poor.
