ahhh ok I could never quite place the accent, always thought it was Durham area but clearly not. Thanks To the untrained ear (mine) I often find the two oddly interchangable. *
Weird really as they are both rooted in completely opposite sides of the country, whereas you only have to cross the Penines to go from full on Lancs to reet braaad Yorkshire further down.
(No doubt the geography & / or the topography does have a lot to do with it.)
* No doubt Lakeland Potter can fill us in on the finer distinguishing points between the two.
I have lived in Cumbria for 16 years but I lived in South Shields in the North East from age 1 to age 4 so I actually spoke Geordie when I learned to talk and had to unlearn it VERY quickly when we moved to North Staffordshire shortly before I went to school. The two accents sound completely different to me and I can't even comprehend how anyone would confuse them - so I am the worst person to explain the difference!

Again
Should be all over a loan deal Stoke

Again Should be all over a loan deal Stoke I don't think Rory would want him coming here. Pete Smith was saying the other day that one reason why Rory left Derby was that Liam was coming through into the U18s and he didn't want to coach/manage him.

All this talk of loans Iβd say heβs got opportunities at Man City. They arenβt blessed with an abundance of striking options and Aguero is out for a while. Heβll get game time.

He is a very special talent and is going to be quite some player.
Reminds me of a pre cruciate injury Alan Shearer.

Hopefully he'll shake the "can he take long throws" question sooner rather than later.

Does he qualify for England and Ireland, and if so, has he picked a side yet?

Poor move for him. Would have been good to see him stay there and breaking through their first team. Maybe a sign fat Frank is off too? Brilliant πππππππ

Does he qualify for England and Ireland, and if so, has he picked a side yet? Already in the England age-group teams by the looks of it. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liam-delap/nationalmannschaft/spieler/610849No doubt it's more commercially advantageous to play for England! But he was born here (as, to be fair, was Rory), has an English mum and has lived all his life here - so probably fair enough...

Vokes out, Delap in (even in loan ( would be perfect Perhaps Pep would rather just keep him there

Vokes out, Delap in (even in loan ( would be perfect Perhaps Pep would rather just keep him there Yeah, exciting prospect if it did happen over the next couple of years. But you do wonder whether Rory's presence would help us. Like nutter said, Pete Smith did mention in that facebook chat that Liam moving up into the age group he coached was one of the reasons he left the Derby academy to come to Stoke as he didn't want the father-son thing. Pete did make the Shearer comparison too and said he was a cert to play for England. Time will tell - but he does look one of the most exciting talents in the country.

I've seen enough in an hour to suggest he'd be better than Vokes.. which isn't hard, granted.
