Didn't Lecce terminate his loan? No. They wanted to but I guess they nor we found someone else to take him.

Didn't Lecce terminate his loan? No. You can only terminate a loan with the agreement of all parties involved and despite all the evidence to the contrary even we aren't stupid enough to do that, unless there is another club willing to at least match the current agreement.

He's a complete waste given the talent he clearly has but with zero application you won't achieve nothing. If he put himself out he could have looked back on his career with a sense of pride. Now it will be a case of how he was a fraud.

The day we can put this thread to bed can't come soon enough. Also can this be the very last time we give someone a 5.5 sodding year contract!? We still have another year and 1/2 of finding him dozey European clubs stupid enough not to consult TransferMarkt before dipping into the market. You'd think people would say to themselves, how many games did he play for Lecce, hmm 3, hmm.

If the guy has "joined Lecce on loan", after having already been on loan there, is there another technicality that gives him sort of an additional inducement or signing fee?

How longs his deal now? Can't have much more than a season, maybe a season and a half. Is there anyway we can pay him off from the Coatesy coffers off the books? Surely, getting rid will just put an end to this conman stealing a wage off this club. On another note - would anyone know if there was a relegation clause in his contract - got a horrible feeling he's still trousering £70k a week

If you apply his application to a 'normal worker' I doubt he would be in a job.

Surely, getting rid will just put an end to this conman stealing a wage off this club. On another note - would anyone know if there was a relegation clause in his contract - got a horrible feeling he's still trousering £70k a week Think somebody already explained the amortisation of players values over the term of the contract. If we pay him off it will be seen as a financial loss and affect our FFP predicament. Therefore we keep him to run down his value to the end of his contract. Based on his original £18m value, with 18 months of 5.5 year contract left, he is still a £5m asset. Don’t think his wages come into it even though, even at £35k a week if he had a relegation clause, we just take the hit with his nearly £3m wages still to come. Double that if there was no relegation clause. However to counter that I would think that his loan club would be picking up at least half his "wages".

sportwitness.co.uk/stoke-city-player-may-rescind-contract-loan-club-several-offers/It’s claimed that Imbula is out of Lecce’s project, and since they’ve been getting many offers for him, he could soon rescind his contract with the club.
He has only four appearances for them so far.
The offers they mention would obviously have to be considered by Stoke City, since it’s they who loaned him out and have him under contract until 2021. Lecce would only have to agree with it.
But since the transfer window in Europe’s top leagues is now closed, Imbula would have to find a place where he can still be registered to play this season.
www.calciolecce.it/2020/02/04/meluso-rosa-completata-e-bilanci-apposto-come-vuole-il-club-far-mercato-in-una-piccola-e-difficile/"He is off the list, there are open markets and we will see if there is the possibility to get him started.
He is not currently part of the team available to Fabio Liverani. We are evaluating some situations, but we must understand from the bureaucratic point of view if it is possible for him to carry out a double resolution with both us and with Stoke City.
Of course it would be a shame if it were not possible to let him go, because I have never received as many offers from all over the world as for Imbula ”.
