Gianelli Imbula is traveling to Lecce. The midfielder will sign today for the club of Salento and will come from Stoke City on loan with the right of redemption which could become an obligation in the event of survival for the Giallorossi, provided that the player takes the field for at least 25 games of at least 45 '. In that case the Apulians would pay the 4 million euro card, with the player's contract which would be valid for another three years.

Lecce will be scrapping for every point they can get, so If Imbula can't get into their side, then his career in Europe is as good as over and he'll be joining Bojan in the Canadian league when we're finally shot of him. Hopefully Imbula is good enough for Lecce that it would cost more to drop him than to leave him out of the side to avoid buying him.

Why is this man content to go and play football for teams like Toulouse, Rayo Vallecano and Lecce but not for us? What is it about our club that's made him down tools? Does he not like England, or Stoke itself? Is it just because he couldn't be bothered to learn English? I'd love to know whether we've tried everything possible to get into this man's head before farming him out. What have Toulouse and Vallecano fans thought of him/his attitude? An Imbula from the early few games he played for us at the base of the diamond... wow! Is this your new user name MoanMoan?

In what delusional world does a journalist put the word “Star” When describing this waste of oxygen? Even “Stoke City Player” is one almighty stretch; the kindest word I can think of to describe his role at Stoke is “outcast”.

To be used of course in conjunction with the old media favourite " player X gets the chance of a move away to end his Stoke City hell". (other clubs are of course available).

Well his fee was higher than Berahinos, we've managed to get rid of him and his wages and Berahino arguably contributed more on the pitch so I'd substitute hardly for definitely

gianlucadimarzio.com/it/calciomercato-lecce-arrivo-imbulaImbula has landed at Brindisi airport ready to start the new adventure with Lecce Giannelli Imbula has finally arrived in Italy. Not at Inter or even at Turin , but at Brindisi airport to start a new adventure with Fabio Liverani's Lecce . In fact, in the last few hours, the Roman club has found an agreement with the football player currently owned by Stoke City: a free loan with mandatory redemption set at 4 million in the event of survival and 25 total presences The English club has also reserved a percentage on future resale. " I am happy to be here, I have not yet spoken to Liverani but I will do it shortly," said the 1992 midfielder. Imbula will carry out medical examinations with Sticchi Damiani's team in the next few hours, to then sign the contract and start a new stage in his career.

Scholesy in sell on percentage fee shocker even managed the deal from his sunbed, what a star!

So what does free loan mean? No fee or no wages, both I would guess.

Scholesy in sell on percentage fee shocker even managed the deal from his sunbed, what a star! If what is suspected about some previous transfer deals is true it could be a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. But still there might ultimately be a chance of us getting the odd million pound or so back.

I don't see why we should flog Diouf. He's never been any trouble, always bust his lunges for us, played whereever he was asked to, not always to his benefit, and he was once our topscorer, the last time he was played as a real striker (apart from last season when he was asked to perform when unfit). He's got one more year on his contract; we should honour it.

Fair enough. But I did understand that if a move opened up for him he would be one of those leaving.
Also, if the rumours are true the most desperate club in the world, apparently in Belgium, have shown late interest in Wimmer, so Diouf might be left as the last member of the Bomb Squad.

And would barely chase anything.

So what does free loan mean? No fee or no wages, both I would guess. That’s what I was wondering, are we going to be paying his full wage to play for someone else ? We’ll be lucky if we ever get a fee for him, such is his attitude he’ll probably be back training with the U23s before his loan deal is up.
