gianlucadimarzio.com/it/calciomercato-lecce-arrivo-imbulaImbula has landed at Brindisi airport ready to start the new adventure with Lecce Giannelli Imbula has finally arrived in Italy. Not at Inter or even at Turin , but at Brindisi airport to start a new adventure with Fabio Liverani's Lecce . In fact, in the last few hours, the Roman club has found an agreement with the football player currently owned by Stoke City: a free loan with mandatory redemption set at 4 million in the event of survival and 25 total presences The English club has also reserved a percentage on future resale. " I am happy to be here, I have not yet spoken to Liverani but I will do it shortly," said the 1992 midfielder. Imbula will carry out medical examinations with Sticchi Damiani's team in the next few hours, to then sign the contract and start a new stage in his career. So the deal is if he makes 25 appearance's and stay up they buy him If he makes 25 appearance's they will deffo go down So we are fucked

I hope our illustrious midfielder puts pen to paper. Just so that he remembers what to do:
1. Pick up the pen and sign in the box. 2. Sign your name in the box, marked signature. 3. At this precious moment, don't forget your name: G. Twat.

Could we arrange a free loan so that Bolton can have Diouf? Tell them it'll be like having Jay Jay Okacha all over again. I don't see why we should flog Diouf. He's never been any trouble, always bust his lunges for us, played whereever he was asked to, not always to his benefit, and he was once our topscorer, the last time he was played as a real striker (apart from last season when he was asked to perform when unfit). He's got one more year on his contract; we should honour it. I still think Diouf could do rather well in a weaker league like Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Begium and so on. A bit surprised no teams from these leagues haven't come in for him.

Gianelli Imbula is traveling to Lecce. The midfielder will sign today for the club of Salento and will come from Stoke City on loan with the right of redemption which could become an obligation in the event of survival for the Giallorossi, provided that the player takes the field for at least 25 games of at least 45 '. In that case the Apulians would pay the 4 million euro card, with the player's contract which would be valid for another three years. So we get 4 million, ( euros or pounds, it doesn't matter) if he plays 25 games and keeps them up and we pay his wages, please tell me it's not true. His wage is more than 4 million. He must be a Scholes love child.

He must be a Scholes love child. Right now I'd let him go on a free, but if some mug is willing to pay, great stuff. The fact he's got to basically start in 25 games is a MAJOR if. As soon as they realise he's more one footed than Captain Morgan he'll be on the naughty step.

So what does free loan mean? No fee or no wages, both I would guess. That’s what I was wondering, are we going to be paying his full wage to play for someone else ? We’ll be lucky if we ever get a fee for him, such is his attitude he’ll probably be back training with the U23s before his loan deal is up. Not likely. Now he has a contract with Lecce. It's up to them to hold him to it, and it's their prerogative to only play him 24 games of 45 minutes. I don't think he's shown a terribly bad "attitude" in his two loans; he just wasn't affordable for any potential extension without wages paid by us. Now we continue as the laughing stock, but eventually we will be rid. At least he won't adversely influence our younger lads for a while.

And would barely chase anything. I don't know the facts, but it seemed he caught in the varying office politics, which Diouf, being a proud man, took offence to. Under Jones he played one nearly full match coming on early when somebody got injured , and a few cameo subs. That constituted a fair chance under Jones, compare that to how many chances Afobe was given...

At £700K per appearance for Stoke City (not including wages, agents or a signing on fee) you could say his signing was a mistake

I admire the enthusiasm - he looks like he’s thinking ‘I’m lost, how did I get here? who am I playing for?’ I hope Lecce have a copy of the manual on “How to polish a Turd”!

The irony being that IF he plays 25 games and they stay up he will probably have had a really good season and will actually be worth more than 4m at the end of it

The irony being that IF he plays 25 games and they stay up he will probably have had a really good season and will actually be worth more than 4m at the end of it Lecce are bottom of Serie A with a weak, cheaply assembled squad. No wonder Imbula looks unimpressed - they’re probably getting relegated. Lecce won’t want to pay Imbula’s inflated wages next season, regardless of how well he plays for them. He’ll probably be coming back here in June, unfortunately. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/us-lecce/startseite/verein/1005

I'd imagine the chances of a permanent deal going through at the end of the season are pretty much zero. So we'll go through the whole shenanigans again next year but there'll be even less suitors
