He didn’t though. The goal is all on Butland. The goal is all on Butland and to an extent McClean for his positioning, but if he'd been playing, I'd put money on Shawcross smelling the danger when Butland went awol and perhaps preventing the goal. But that's just a decade's worth of experience at this level and higher that Collins hasn't got. Very possibly. The same could be said of Batth etc. The long and the short of it is, Butland had no right to come charging out there. It was very poor.

But that didn't happen and the defenders switched off, I thought Collins had a decent enough game, seemed full of confidence which is a nice change and was willing to play the ball out quickly, but that doesn't mean he didn't make a mistake for the goal. He didn’t though. The goal is all on Butland. Not following your man into the box once the keeper has rushed out is a mistake, yes its down to Butland but he still made a mistake.

And I see the lad's had nothing but praise and best wishes from Stoke supporters.
So perhaps the stick a certain other member of our playing staff seems to attract actually has f*ck all to do with him being Irish? 🤔

I love a good traditional Irish name like Obafemi He's probably more Irish than most of Jack Charlton's squads.

Hope Collins shines for Ireland, hopefully with a few good training sessions he gets straight in. The experience will do him a world of good, i would like to see him with Shakiri in his pocket.

Ah bollocks, it’s a sign we’ve got more bloody pointless internationals coming up to disrupt the real football.😡😡

It's pretty clear that Nathan should be our number one CH this season.

I hope the manager has the courage to play the same three at the back as played at Wigan. They looked so comfortable. With a renewed Woods anchoring midfield, and Etebo doing what Etebo does, there are lots of options to be positive. It strikes me that NJ is prepared to take a punt when the occasion allows.

Hes from the same part of Dublin as myself so I kept a special eye on him yesterday,he doesn't lack for confidence or physique but still raw on decision making but he is some prospect.
