Haha, did you decide that before the game started. You're so fkn predictable. Who was your best player. Collins actually looks like he wants the ball, can pass and looks like a born leader. Wasn’t far off our best player for me either I couldn't pick a MOM from that dross on Saturday. Collins was poor for their first goal and even worse for their second. If it had been anyone else Bayern would have been spamming threads telling everyone how right he was that player x is shit. I agree totally with your first sentence though and despite his mistakes hope he gets a run in the team.

Agree with that but he was left dreadfully exposed by Cousins, he will learn from it and it was a very mature display from him overall.

It feels like it happens every game with our midfield.

Collins was more to blame than Cousins but it wouldn't fit your agenda Nor mine..... [br I saw enough in that 90 mins to know he is going to be a top player if he keeps his feet grounded. Compared to Ba’ath he looked composed on the ball, strong and quick of mind. He will make mistakes, he is young but stick with him with the odd break and he will be a gem. He actually tried to break through their press by driving forwards and taking a risk. Compare that to Baath who was so slow and laboured on the ball- I have my doubts about this bloody diamond, but one thing is for sure if it keeps going to Baath who takes an eternity to shift it out to McClean then every team will just sit in and pick us of. Was bloody embarrassing and I spent most of the second half shouting move it quicker ahhhhh!

Right you are, staggering people are having a go at Collins as he was perhaps one of the few positives. Cousins just meh

Yep he made a couple of mistakes but the massive positives outweigh the negatives for me. Constantly holding up his hands to receive the ball, good passer, strong as an ox and a leader on the pitch all at 18 years of age, did he even drive himself to the ground!
Ideally he should be starting for me and yes he'll make more mistakes, that’s part of the learning process.

And you're on about agendas...

It's pretty sad to see so many queuing up to call out Collins when both goals on Saturday are down in the main to the hopeless positioning of four of his more experienced teammates (three of whom are international footballers).
This team has been making mistake after mistake for two or three years, but let's have a go at the teenager who's been exposed by players who should know better.
The thing with Nathan Collins though is that he'll probably learn from what happened on Saturday. The rest of them? Don't put money on it.

I agree completely, and yet, if I was a betting man, I'd wage a fortune on Jones dropping him in favour of Lindsay.

With Ryan injured I'd give Collins and Lindsay an extended run as centre backs with Edwards and Clucas as full backs. I'm in the minority that thinks that Baath really isn't that good.

It's funny how Jack decided to come out for that ball. Is he trying to be a sweeper keeper at last to try impress people, because that's one of the first time in years hes come out of his six yard box for anything.

Yes you did and you were wrong Butland stays at home, he has an easy catch. But that’s Jack. But that didn't happen and the defenders switched off, I thought Collins had a decent enough game, seemed full of confidence which is a nice change and was willing to play the ball out quickly, but that doesn't mean he didn't make a mistake for the goal.

He didn’t though. The goal is all on Butland. The goal is all on Butland and to an extent McClean for his positioning, but if he'd been playing, I'd put money on Shawcross smelling the danger when Butland went awol and perhaps preventing the goal. But that's just a decade's worth of experience at this level and higher that Collins hasn't got.

He didn’t though. The goal is all on Butland. IF Jack had fully committed to clear that ball he would have done so with ease. He didn't though he wandered over he was 100% in pole position to clear it in fact he should have put ball and player in row z. But he fannied about in no man's land and did nothing!! The first goal was his fault not anyone else's if a defender or midfield player had shit out of that challenge like Jack did said player would have remorseless ridicule and rightly so.
