There are certain people on this site who were very negative about Nathan Jones's courage earlier this week concerning whether Collins would be selected. "Cowardly" was the word thrown about by these people. When will they be posting on here to apologise for their stupid comments! Bet he doesn't start next week Not a chance. Despite him being the only one trying to lead anything out there today.

One of the only positives I can bring from the game today was his performance. You can't say he was at fault for the 2nd he wasn't expecting the player to just waltz past 3 players that easily

Normally expect that type of defending from John Stones. Not very often you see a defender get skinned the way Collins did. Hopefully he learns from it but i think that one goal proved he needs a loan move.

Partly at fault for both of their goals.
He wasn’t goal side when Butland went walkabouts and he was walked through for the second.
Has great potential. Needs to be nurtured.

I spose the best compliment you can give him for someone so young is that he didnt look out of place.
Very much in the maguire mold if not purely appearence wise

Thought he was our best player today. I know you like to wind people up, but that’s plain stupid. Let the ball bounce too many times and at fault for the second goal. He’s a fantastic prospect, and will continue to develop, but still lots to learn. Deserves to keep his place though.

How can people say he was at fault for either? Butland fucked it for the first and Clucas let their fotward have a 30 yard run at him for the 2nd!

If he carries on playing him I might apologise. It should worry every Stoke fan that Nathan Jones is going to sign more footballers judging by the utter dross he has signed already. Shambles.

The second goal was poor from him but I also don’t think it’s on to have a player run that far at a centre half. We allow it to often far too often and Id expect the goal to be scored 8/10 times there. I was actually thinking he was more captain material than any one of them out there today.

Eze showed great skill and slight of touch to trick Collins. Once ahead of our non existent midfield, it was super skill and an excellent finish

If you can’t see past a mistake (which 3 others were also at fault for) and see his potential there’s something wrong with you

MOTM for me today. Made a few good challenges. Shielded the ball well when required and didn't look out of place. Although he "let the ball bounce too much".. Jesus Christ.

Clearly going to be a class player. As others have said, he’s 18 and tried to get us going. He wasn’t flawless by any stretch but for a young lad, he was impressive.

I thought hw was great. Very composed, won more than his share of challenges and always looking to make a pass. He showed far more leadership than the supposed professionals around him. He was absolutely the least of our concerns today

Collins was far from our a biggest problem today. The biggest issue was the manager worryingly sticking with an ineffective system for 75 mins the next was the other 10 senior pros in the starting 11 who forgot how to do their jobs for most of the game.
I forgive Collins for his mistakes as Im sure he'll learn I can't forgive the 3/ 4 senior pros (most of whom have played at higher levels) letting Eze waltz past them.
