Odd one, all the talk I'd heard from media over here was that AfD etc were hugely on the rise. Maybe somehow, oddly, Brexit has galvanised the left in Europe!

Interesting stats, demographics, from the EU election night tv here: When you look at the young people around Europe and how they vote, the green parties will have like 65-70% of the mandates in the EU parliament within 8-12 years, ceteris paribus, in a likely prediction. Parents often transfer opinions to their children. As a genuine question, is that not a usual thing? Then in 8-12 years, a good portion of those young people shift right for some reason? I hope not, this time. Just now they said the green parties block has gone from the 7th position to the 4th position in the EU parliament today. Yes, usually children listen to their parents. But of course, some will be early rebels or change their mind later, in whatever direction.

How can 6-10% vote leave when you said there was no leave party to vote for? Reasonable question! But tonight we have voted among the parties to represent us in the EU, not if we want Swexit or not. When they presented the figures 90% against Swexit (possibly even higher), it was one of many many questions interviewers always ask people outside after they have voted. It's tradition here. Another question they have been given around the country was: what are the most important issues? Result: 1 Climate 2 Migration 3 Crime Ahhh right. So your options boil down to do you want: Shooting Hanging Electrocuting Poisoning? The none of the above wasn't an option? You got to let go of ABBA and Eurovision one day mate

Swing them towards the left. Shame we seem to be swinging right!

Partly because Corbyn has been trying to gather support from socialist parties throughout Europe! All the while pretending to honour the result of the referendum. Why did he vote against the EU at every turn for years?

Shooting Hanging Electrocutingย Poisoning? It was a long time since I saw a survey about the death penalty here, but the figure was extremely low then. Like 0,024% or so. (I remember it was 0,0...something %.)

Lib Dem are winning precisely because of that, despite the issues with their policies.

Well yeah, it is, just not the Brexit you personally wanted. Exhibit A of why it was a shit idea to have a referendum when we did.

They'd have been slaughtered outside of London and a few other metropolitan areas.
