Always thought he'd of been a good Stoke manager. Wonder if Hughes will apply for the job?

Fucking disgusting decision, what are they expecting? Champions League?
Top bloke Hughton is, Hope Brighton beat Derby’s 11 point record next season the wankers.

Totally stupid decision to sack him delusions of grandeur. Fully agree. Yes they've had a worse season that last year but a club of their stature, relatively new to the PL, with minimal investment, to avoid relegation should be considered success.

I'm not tbat surprised. They dropped off this season. They will all be respectful to Chris.
Smart time to sack him though. No speculation and the new gaffer will have an entire pre season to impose himself.

I’d say it’s similar to what happened with Pulis here. They’ve acted decisively. Just like we should have done with Hughes. The problem they face now is pulling a rabbit out of the hat who can ‘take them to the next level’...

Typical, i was thinking Brighton might be a bit different and stick with him. Look at Bournemouth they have stuck with there manager when they only just avoided relegation and its paid off. Hughton signed a few players and spent some money this season. Should have been given next season for things to work out.

i've always thought he was a good manager, understated, and comes across very well.
if the opportunity had arisen for him to come to stoke, i personally would have been delighted.

Maybe they are going to go down the foreign coach/players road. Good luck with that one boys...

The players they'd spent biggish money on hadn't really made a big impression either (although don't know if he's responsible 100% for the signings?)
Jahanbaksh £17m (only 12 starts) Izquierdo £16m (9 starts) Bissouma £16m (17 starts) Locadia £15m (12 starts)

Not so much of a surprise for me, his expensive foreign signings have been utterly horrendous and they looked like an identical side to us slipping towards the trap door at an alarming rate.

It’s what we should have done with Hughes.
People on here said that we sleep walked into relegation. Where as the Brighton chairman has acted promptly & been ruthless. Brighton have won 3 games since the start Of December.
If Coates had done this & appointee a suitable manger, we wouldn’t be languishing in the bottom half of the Championship.

Same when spurs or whoever continue to finish bottom in the Euro super league
Ridiculous
Twice now he’s been sacked after a great season
