Hughton to the Baggies or Cardiff? I’d take him in a heartbeat Cardiff? Is Warnock leaving?

Looks like an opening at Boro they might view Hughton as more of the same?

You could argue that if our board had acted in the last summer if Hughes tenure as Brighton have done here we wouldn't be in the mess we are now. You could. You could also argue that if they'd have fucked up the recruitment process and ended up with Lambert at that point we'd still have gone down. I have no issue with sacking managers, but sacking them without a firm plan for a replacement is the bigger issue, the next few days will see what Brighton's thought process is I guess....

Although I can’t say I’d be too sad about it depending on the replacement, I imagine that is just silly Luton fans who feel like frittering away some cash today!

What an idiotic decision. He wont be on the shelf long. I wouldn't have minded him here at one point.

I don’t want our manager to go but if he did we should snap hughton up Why? He plays terrible football and his signings are poor.

If true, and Potter leaves Swansea, we dodged a big bullet.

Nice bloke but if they didn't do something Brighton look odds on to go down next season. Potter would be a big risk but Swansea have ended the season as the form team so it's not surprising he's in the frame. Really can't see Jones being in the frame.

Where has this desire for Hughton come from?
A bloke who has banjoed 15M on Jurgen Locadia, 6M on Florin Andone and proceeds to play 35 year old Glenn Murray instead.
A tad ironic since our own manager is getting pelters for potentially signing a 30 year old on a free...

Way of the Prem world. It should be given a name, such as "we're in the Prem, but know we can't go any further" syndrome. They won't do much better than they already have, unless they suddenly hire Pep and 1/2 the Man City squad. Will be on everyone's radar as a relegation favourite next term.

In all fairness it’s important to bed Murray’s replacement in sooner rather than later, who was to know he’d keep bagging and he’s playing as well as ever at the moment. Those two aren’t well suited to the prem from what I’ve seen. Spent a tonne on that winger with zero goals or assist though, had a good World Cup and was meant to be decent or something but he’s done nowt.

I mean, his name is Potter for crying out loud, what more did they need to see that it was a sign. Nevermind. We go again.

Not so much of a surprise for me, his expensive foreign signings have been utterly horrendous and they looked like an identical side to us slipping towards the trap door at an alarming rate. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Stoke City 2016-2019 was a case study that the Brighton board paid attention to.

Good to see people frittering their money away then for something that shouldn't happen.
Then again, I remember when Paul Lambet was 100/1 to be the next manager. 'Bah, that'll never happen!' Until 2 days later when it, infact, happened.

Potter would be a big risk but Swansea have ended the season as the form team so it's not surprising he's in the frame. Really can't see Jones being in the frame. The only thing that might endear them to Jones is that he knows the club inside out from when he was an assistant down there. Then again, 3 wins in 20 plus the list of established prem managers who are out of work (Moyes, Allardyce, Pardew and even Sparky and possibly TP too) means theres no chance of it happening. If it did happen though, would be more than happy to take Hughton - he's crap with money, but has a fantastic pedigree in this league, his team's play for him and he's a thoroughly nice bloke apparently
