yes - better goalie than Butland Hilarious stuff. Is it really that funny to suggest such a thing? Butland has done nothing to tell me that he's a better keeper than Begovic.

Begovic at his prime when he played for us was a very good goalkeeper, and if he was still the same quality I would welcome him back without hesitation.
What is he like NOW is the big question. The answer is we don’t know.
Assuming Jack goes is he worth the risk as No 1,? Would he be happy to be second choice?

Very strange story from Spinksy. I wonder... Stoke would only consider any kind of deal now if they could line up an immediate and suitable replacement by Thursday’s 5pm deadline. And that is shining the light back on Bournemouth because they have shown as much interest as anyone in Butland - and they have a ready-made replacement to offer Stoke. That's lovely, Sponksy. "Three issues would have to be resolved" *promptly lists four issues*

Begovic has fallen off a cliff so badly he got usurped in that team by Artur fucking Boruc.
Begovic is finished at any even half-competitive level.

Begovic has fallen off a cliff so badly he got usurped in that team by Artur fucking Boruc. Begovic is finished at any even half-competitive level. Seems his form has been poor but why "finished"? He was an exceptional goalie a matter of a few years ago - I could understand if he was 38 or 40 or something but he's peak age and he hasn't had any career-altering injuries. Surely it's just a question of playing his way back into form and climbing back up the cliff?

Why the fuck did we buy Davies then? Penny for his thoughts if Butland goes and Asmir comes in as No.1. Penny for ours if we trust him for a season....

Yes, Jack wants to be with a Premier League club and whether it's just because his head has been turned, he is not half the keeper used to be. Good move for all concerned imo.

He's going to have to move somewhere, isn't he? Or his career is, if not over, at least resting.... www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/17816641.test/Which AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper would you like to see start against Sheffield United?

Can you unscramble a footballers mind that is clearly muddled and also shot to pieces?!.. cause that's Begovic. No room for sentiment in football, or there shouldn't be.

YES,proven Premiership keeper, more than good enough for the Championship.
But I can't see why Wilson joined us just to be a No.2.

YES,proven Premiership keeper, more than good enough for the Championship. But I can't see why Wilson joined us just to be a No.2. His form over the last 18 months or so has seen him fall behind Artur Boruc and an academy player at Bournemouth. He’s not going to come to the Championship and suddenly stop making the mistakes that have blighted his game recently.

I thought you were talking about Butland tbh Because Butland seems clinically depressed to me by his body language. He looks like a man who thinks his career is finished if he doesn't get out by the end of this week.

In any case, it doesn't mean Begovic is the answer either. It would be another gamble.

Spinksy not letting go of this Begovic bone... www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-news-campbell-3187418Elsewhere, there is still time for a late bid for Jack Butland, but only if Stoke can line up a replacement at the same time. The need to replace Butland, not just sell him, was laid bare this week when it was revealed that summer signing Adam Davies was not injured when he missed out on the bench last weekend. A Bournemouth offer to swap with former Stoke favourite Asmir Begovic is one for the headline writers and the romantics were it to happen.

That we've signed a duffer.?? Presume it means Davies is number three in the pecking order.

I think Davies is with us for his progression as the Welsh GK. Not making the squad won’t help.
