Is it ok to reply or do I need to Fuck off? Here goes anyway arse wipe. I'm not a Jones out poster but a lot of what you say in the OP is fantasy stuff. He hasn't bounced back from any mistakes he's made earlier in his tenure with us in fact last night he repeated most of his mistakes. Was Batth his signing? Nice to see the youth given a go but why drop Verlinden, why loan out Campbell, he hasn't played Souttar. Edwards was already a part of the first team and not even sure he has played Sorenson either. Which leaves you with a Passionate manager who's done wonders at lowly Luton. Posters asking questions about his leadership have every right to at this stage. he bounced back from the Shrewsbury defeat by getting tactics spot on against a good Leeds side, and my mistake I thought Souttar played vs Shrewsbury, he loaned out Campbell to get league experience and then come back here next season to play, Verlinden hasn’t been 100% fit that’s why he hasn’t been playing, and he played Sorensen as he came on as a substitute against preston, and of course batth was his signing he cane straight into the side. He got Luton from league 2 to possibly the championship as it’s his team he built, give the guy a break, judge him based on next season with his own players

Let him finish this bloody awful season then pay him off.he is just not good enough. Such conviction in the NOW in the thread title, and now I find you’re giving him to the end of the season. Soft touch

If you think Jones will take us back to the premiership then fucking dream on.he flatters to deceive. just been reading your recent threads and noticed you created the same kind about rowett, give yiur head a fucking wobble, people like you are the reason this club is so toxic, how about you get behind the manager, and stop being an absolute prick. Actually no, the reasoning is more to do with those in control. Just look at the recruitment team for starters, then the board (members responsible not members with deep pockets). Jobs for the boys I'm pretty certain Jones has the lowest average performance rating out of the last 4 managers, so that's recent history. Yes we all know, not his team etc, but even is it going to be? His job is to motivate and do with what he has and this lot are going nowhere, plus we are cash restricted and no way around that. It's looking grim

He needs to be judged when he has his own players to pick from,at the moment he is stuck with a pile of shite he inherited from that tosser Rowett.
Anyway,we can't keep paying off managers, then have to pay for a new manager to come in.
If he doesn't get the results next season with his own squad of players, then is the time to call for his head.

Shame on you OP. One bad game doesn't eliminate ten good ones. The OP is a joke but remind me of the 10 good ones ? Leeds, Forest, Sheff Wed ? Blackburn without their best player and sinking like a stone ? Struggling for the other 6 to be honest

I despair with this I really do.. along with some of the posters on the match-day thread.
We have been undone by a Swansea team who were excellent on the night, who have a left winger who belongs (based on recent performances) in the Premier League.
It was a below par performance, the first in a while and to suggest we need to change Manager now is absolutely ridiculous. This is going to take a lot longer than some of you like, and will need ALOT more patience. We have had 3 years of mismanagement and shocking investment. It WON'T be sorted in 3 months! Get used to it, it's going to be tough, we are changing the entire dynamic of the dressing room, mentality of the dressing room and playing style at the club.
If you aren't up for the ride and are going to continually lambast the club, the manager and the players, (cringe statement time) SOD OFF UP THE VALE.
Nathan has a fantastic opportunity here, we are safe, we are going nowhere soon. Blood the youngsters (which he is doing) try different formations, different players etc whatever it takes to understand and differentiate the shocking from the superstars.
This means we can go into Pre-Season with a manager who knows the club, who has had 6 months already to begin implementing his style and who knows what pitfalls we have in our squad.
Look at Luton, he took them over languishing, they are now even after his resignation flourishing, and it is testament to the qualities and skills of the bloke.
In Nathan I trust... He's here to stay, get used to it!

Got to give him time but it's been underwhelming so far
Then again it's not his team so Christmas will be a far greater indicator of where we are going with him

Looking forward to the suggestions of who’s next... Unlike the OP I'm fully behind NJ but I'll throw you a name for arguments sake. David Wagner. 👍 Could work out, could be another one who gets 3 months. Just look at Farke at Norwich for a cautionary tale. I’m also behind Jones as we’ve become a circus and to be honest it’s ridiculous.

For the record he is older than Rowett. He is young in experience not age wise .
8 years older than Lee Johnson at Bristol City.
45 is NOT a young up and coming manager

Hes younger than solskjaer and hes about 12! True but I get the notion on here that he is some 36 year old new to this game. He clearly isn't . Any suggestions of getting rid are truly ludicrous but other than his comments about Bojan and alienating the fans he is as underwhelming as Rowett

Fast exciting attacking football is what we were promised. 3 months in and we have seen 2 goals in the last 6 games. One of them coming from a mistake by their keeper. I don't by any means expect miracles but I expect some improvement. It seemed like Wednesday and Blackburn were showing some but then last night was utter wank....and he is the only one to blame.

I'm 100% in support of jones.
There were some on here who wanted Graham Potter here.. Well the way his players were diving to the floor throughout the game and lying flat out as if they'd been shot after every challenge he can stay at Swansea if that's how he directs his players to act then I don't want him here at Stoke. They were cheats and all to often conned a very poor ref.

Could have blah blah blah. We struggled in most of those games. Only vs Leeds and Forest were we on top. we hit the woodwork twice vs reading, missed chances vs Wednesday but had like 65% possession so to say we struggled is silly, we are getting better, no question about it but today was pathetic We did alright vs Wednesday, and blackburn.

Embarrassing OP. Pathetic. just look at his threads started mate, about 2/3 months into rowett taking charge he wanted him gone already, clearly just an attention seeker Or a visionary.....he was right about the hapless Rowett and this guy is not a great improvement.

Looking forward to the suggestions of who’s next... Whoever it is gets three months to get us promoted then binned off by the Football Manager 19 experts on here. Then we do it again and again and again. Eventually we'll run out of options and appoint somebody like the OP who once got Forest Green Rovers to the Champions League Final.

We have to give the man time. It's not always the right decision, but we're trying to implement a new identity and if you get that right, you get what Norwich have done. I'd love us to emulate them.

People really are slow, aren't they? Do they expect a line of top quality managers will be lined up at the front door? I've said it before and I stick by it. If this fantasy land people live in came true, we're one sacking away from a Pardew or a McLaren. That's why Jones has to work.
That said I'm not overly enamoured by him yet. 3 wins in 12(?), the shoehorning of Clucas, the faux celebration and chest pumping when that illusive win comes...

Insane. He has had half a transfer window and that is it.
Lets compare this to Pep Guardiola, yes, Pep Guardiola. He agreed to become Man City Manager even long before Pre Season had begun(was during the season before). He had an abundance of resources,a full Pre season,an already imoressive squad and 2 full transfer windows. In his first season he finished 3rd (only clinching Champions league spot on the last day of the season). He also lost 4-0 to Everton at Goodison that season. He identifed what was needed and made a few changes. Not too many mind. Mainly that he needed to upgrade his fullbacks and Goalkeeper as they were clearly the biggest weakness to his side and in particular his style of play. He went on to win the league with record points and now in the month of April is still within a chance of winning an unprecedented Quadruple.
Now Stoke can only dream of competing at that level but it just shows that even the manager some regard as the current best in the world and with an already amazing squad and a blank chequebook needed time for his plan to work.
I fully believe next season will be a good one and hopefully a successful one. But to write Jones off when he has come in half way through the season and with an inherited squad is harsh.

I see the goat slaughterers are back. The blood lust is upon them.
To be fair we haven't sacked a manager for three months and every sane fan knows changing manager is a guarantee of success. The real problem is we haven't done it often enough.

After fifty years I really should know better but the stupidity of Stoke fans never seems to fail to annoy me with its crass insanity. It is totally useless to try and reason with the Neanderthals we have who call themselves "supporters". Of course I was totally disappointed about how last night's game unfolded and it was blatantly clear that we have a long way to go before we become promotion material again. Nevertheless I am 100% behind Jones. Even last night it was clear that the players were well organised. The manager is still having to play players who are not good enough to have any impact. He also does not want to burden promising young players with fans such as the ones on this site. Edwards and Verlinden will be used sparingly and Collins looked full of hope for the future. So many stupid cretins are just. Waiting in the wings to shoot Jones down! Certainly not blessed with grey cells!
