..................Butland................. Bauer.....Shawcross......Batth.......Indi ..............Allen.....Etebo............ Ince................................Clucas ..............Vokes....Afobe.............. Despite of Edwards having an OK game against Forest I'd go for Bauer because I remember how Edwards was torn to pieces by QPR's winger at the bet365. I guess Vokes didn't play due to fitness, but he should certainly replace Bojan who was our only player with zero contribution against Forest. I don't like to play Indi at left back either, but thought he played well yesterday. I also thought Ryan played so well that he deserves another chance. Tinkerman!Change a WINNING TEAM? Bojan needs a run and we hardly ever lose when he's in there, so bollocks to your ideas.

The problem in bringing Vokes in for Bojan is that the shape of the side would have to change and the shape worked pretty well on Saturday. Not perfect by a long way but pretty well.

Since you're adding nothing to what you've already said, I won't bother repeating myself except to say: nothing is written in stone! This Stoke City team not losing their next eleven matches on the trot is set in stone. You're being ridiculous. They don't have to lose 11 games "on the trot", and I never said they would, you do, so the ridiculous is you. You like a lot of deluded Stoke fans seem to think we're doing really well. We are not! Although an unbeaten run for four games is certainly helping, we are surviving because of the points accumulated under Gary Rowett. Under Jones we've managed 9 points in 9 league games. Keep up that average and we'll be fine. But lose 5 of our last 11 and things could start getting nasty,

Well let's not turn this into another thread about the mess Rowett himself inherited. Sure that's a tough awakening Jones has had, and one I don't think he expected. But do I think he's up to the job? Not really. Just his pointed preference for Ince and MClean to the detriment of Bojan, who'd be so perfect for his favoured system but for the sake of those two he has abandoned it. That's a very poor judgement on his part and cannot just be put down to "the mess Rowett left behind".

Tom is frightening slow for my liking and it will cost us again and again.

He's abandoned it because we don't have the players for his preferred system, yes we have Bojan but the rest of the midfield would be a bit of a mess as it stands without a proper DM, he's making the decisions he's paid for, get the players over the line best he can then spend the summer getting the team how he wants it, it would be a mistake to keep a system the players he currently has can't play just to be able to play Bojan when a different system better suits more than one player, far from poor judgement.

"Slow" but can defend vs quick and doesn't have a clue, I'd much prefer the former, I wouldn't say Edwards is particularly slow either tbh.

Thats' what I am saying! He's picking the wrong players for the system he insists we will play if not now then in the future. But he does have players that would do well in his precious system. He just refuses to pick them on a regular basis. What's the purpose of playing McClean, Clucas, and Ince, when he can see they will never be able to adapt to his way of thinking, and in the process alienating the ones who can.

I think we have seen him struggle for pace so many times this season that I really can't understand why people think he has got pace?

It'd be harsh to drop anyone from that side, they got a win afterall.
Bojan being dropped wouldn't be a huge loss on last weeks performance but I wouldn't want us to change formation, I'd be okay with McClean coming in for him though.
That said I'd give him a run of games, nothing to lose and it seems unfair to drop him immediately, even if my faith in his ability to ever recover his previous form is waning seriously.

Sometimes it's really unbelievable how people watching the same players and the same games can come out with such a diversity in opinions! Edwards is a young player learning his trade in one of the most competitive leagues in Europe AND he's been one of our better players in recent weeks which shows he's improving. Of course he's going to make mistakes, it would be hugely surprising if he didn't. It's totally different for Bauer, no one at his age and with his experience should be as poor as he is off the ball, it's like watching a mad dog running around without any idea on where he's going. That shit should've been knocked out of him years ago.

We should at least get a draw against QPR. They have won 1 and lost 8 in the last 9 games. And we have only won 1 in the last 6 games.but knowing stoke we will struggle to get a result.

Same team as Sat. Maybe Bojan or Ince for Vokes.
Subs - Adam, Vokes, McClean.
Actually three damn good subs in terms of potential impact.

We are safe - what a statement given how far we have fallen It's a premature statement. Because in addition to us, Rotherham and Reading also won, so we're still a target for those kind of clubs, and if we do a "Leeds", i.e. after a great win, or any kind of win, lose the next few matches, they can still overtake us. How much did you bet on us to go down?

It's true our record is quite good when Bojan plays but I put it down to the 10 men on the pitch raising their game to compensate for the lost child playing hide and seek. The same often happens after a sending off.

Why do people put Bauer in the team🙄He’s got no future at the club for me(contract or not) and I think it proved that again when he didn’t make the bench again against Villa.
