Offered absolutely nothing again. For the idiots who booed the substitution, you know nothing about football! It was clear to see Bojan offered nothing, McClean is no Ronaldo but you know what you are going to get. Funny how as soon as the substitution was made we played a lot better. The sooner he leaves the better. Will stop all the fans pining for him to play when he offers so little. Agree. The old bojan is gone the new bojan is like a mill stone around the managers neck A damn fucking shame

Harsh to judge him played out of position - not sure why he was brought back if he was just going to be played on the left.
He was quiet but got hooked just as he was coming into things I thought. Still, the change was the right one for that point in the game.

Jones lost it on more than one occasion with him today and rightly so imo.Poor display from him for saying he’d got his chance again

Did he do anything at all? You obviously didn't notice that he was molested by Yates towards the end of the first half. Until then he did as well as you could expect from a player who hasn't played a full 90 minutes since back in September, nothing outstanding, but just by being there he gave Forest defenders a headache, leaving space for Etebo to explore and score our first goal. That's right, I just credited Bojan with his share in the goal even though he didn't touch the ball. If you can't understand this, you "know nothing about football", as someone said earlier in the thread. ....and Ince didn't do anything as usual I presume?

A run of games at the tip of the diamond would constitute that. Probably on his way in the summer regardless.

Fair enough Rob but I meant his chance today mate and yes I agree he’ll be off come the summer

Should have been applauded off & McClean applauded on. We were winning for once!

Speaking as a Bojan fan, he was the weak link today.

We won! He did ok, pleased to see him given a go, I hope he gets some more opportunities.
On the point of ‘booing’ I’m all for it. We play football in a passionless morgue at the moment. Fans showing their appreciation or disatisfaction is what football’s about.

Why do people want a player to play so much he hasn’t offered anything for 3 years? Worst player on the pitch today, and that’s a fact! He wasn't the worst player on the pitch mate, but he was poor and the sub can't be argued with. People saying he needs games are also right. The only people in the wrong here are those that booed the sub. It was the right thing to do. Agree with this Not really in a central role today, so looked a little lost

Poor today, but that shouldn't mean we don't keep him involved in the match day squad.
I've not been a fan of Nathan Jones so far, but he set the team up well and I even saw Afobe and Ince show a little passion!

He didn't make any big mistakes. But, he also didn't make any big plays. Prefer McLean due to his size.

Sure did mate, seriously, I thought Ince was fantastic for the last 20mins but was very quiet until then, and appalling last week - yet he doesn’t lose his place. Just think it should be a level playing field.

I thought, especially in the first half, Bojan made some useful runs but Etebo aside, the others failed to find him. I think the original post is pretty harsh. As for the substitution, anyone surprised Bojan got hooked first hasn’t been watching his Stoke career closely enough. He’s always first subbed. Great to see him get a start. He’s a clever footballer, we just didn’t try to get the ball to him quick enough. McClean did play okay when he came on, it’s true, in fact after the Villa game I’d have dropped Tom Ince. Dare I say that for sixty minutes today that viewpoint would have remained too.

He was played out of position, hung out to dry in my opinion and I’m not a fan of him A lot of players have had to either play out of position or in different positios since Jones arrived: Allen, Ince, Mclean, Martins-Indi, Etebo snd Clucas have all put shifts in out of position. No-one claimed they had been 'hung out to dry'.

He was better today than many games ince has had this season despite being played out of position. Needs a run of games before he can be properly judged.

No-one claimed they had been 'hung out to dry'. No, but all of those players are allowed the luxury of being wank for half a dozen games on the trot before they are ‘rested’ - Bojan is played once in a blue moon for 50mins and generally in the wrong position - the very definition of being ‘hung out to dry’. The manager would look a complete twat if he played him in the whole and he had a stormer.

You’re quite right mate - first half certainly was a decent effort - second half it was going wide from where I was sat, but it was in his 20min purple patch where he did play fabulously - but no one can deny he’s been missing for months.

Just think it should be a level playing field. I agree about last week, but even in the first half today his contribution was significant. When we look like creating things Ince is almost always involved. Today I thought he worked very hard defensively as well and that goes for both halves.

The OP is correct though. Bojan isn’t good enough to be used as a stick to beat the manager with. If the manager chooses to use him sometimes fine but if he doesn’t its equally fine and understandable.

Why do people so despise fans wanting a player to play? As I said elsewhere, not his best game, but certainly not a poor one. Why do people want a player to play so much he hasn’t offered anything for 3 years? Worst player on the pitch today, and that’s a fact! No, that’s an opinion.

Ince did fuck all till last twenty. First game in ages and he has to do what? Score 5 assist 5? Some of the shit the rest have performed all season and still get picked but that’s ok? Stick with your headless chick Maclean any player who can run around will do some of you dinosaurs. Fuck the entertainment.😂😂😂

At that point in time, Ince should have been the one coming off. Prior to his assist for the 2nd he was diabolical. Granted, afterwards he looked a different player. Ince was piss poor for seventy minutes again today. On top of ninety minutes vs Aston Villa. I’ll give him his dues, he intercepted and set up Afobe, who I also thought left a lot to be desired, beautifully. They were both redeemed in the final fifteen minutes I suppose. Knew Bojan would be subbed first though, that’s the story of a lifetime and I’m not saying it was wrong but if he had have pulled Ince I’d have had no complaint.

But he has become more of a distraction than anything else which is not helping the club. Booing his substitution is frankly embarrassing. What does it say to the other players when someone (I decided to leave out your lies...) is cheered more than those who have played every game? those who try hard but get booed? First of all I'd like to know who are those players "who try hard"? Secondly I hope those cheered less ask themselves why that is. The answers might just be really uncomfortable. I'm not suggesting that they should hang up their boots presently, but maybe they should try to work even harder for scfc and not just for themselves...
