Not as long ago as that for me lol, this was the 60/70s! Never thought anything much of it at the time I suppose, we were relatively well off for where we lived believe it or not, both my parents were in work. Still never dared leave food on the plate Me too, latch key kid. Mother worked Mon to Fri, dad also but he did Sat and Sun mornings as well. Ate whatever was put in front of me, still do! Bet you got told that children were starving in Africa so eat up! Sadly there are still starving children and I still don't understand how me eating up helped. ð Brought up on a council estate with no money but loving parents, wouldn't change that even if I could. They are starving because you kept eating it all! elystokie just be thankful the tartan wasn't in panels down the side. Jeans with white 'feathers' down the sides like cowboys, Plastic platform shoes, rounded collared shirts with prints on topped of with a garish coloured tanktop, trousers with pockets half way down your leg, you needed arms like a orangutan to reach into, denim jacket, obviously, preferably, Wrangler but usually not! Denim suit? Fuck we were fashionable! Cream and brown seemed to be the dominant colours!

Plus cream bags (from Chawners) with patch pockets and 6 button waistband. Newspaper print shirt with penny collar. And depending on mood my 18 hole oxblood dockers or my purple, wet look, platform chelsea boots. Serious fashion victim.

You know you're completely apathetic towards another football club when a thread dedicated to them veers off into a conversation about Farah slacks, patchwork jumpers, beige trousers, C&A and Windsor Davies Came here for a juicy update and got a load of fashion jargon I've never heard of before ðĪŠ

Was just comparing our situation to Luton when Jones took the reins. The comparable deal is that Jones takes Stoke to promotion, then leaves us for pastures new when we are in second place, Hands up if you would take the deal!!

Late 76 - threw my bags and Ben Sherman shirt in the bin, those togs were just one of the many many reasons for punk . Anarchy in the UK, then & now!
