Nick Owen doesn’t look a happy bunny on Midlands Today. As the late Windsor Davies would say “Oh dear, how sad, nevermind” Very much alive im pleased to say [ my mrs has him in our own private deadpool which has been running 18 moons ] oh dear how sad never mindHe was a teacher at my school (but before my time). I bet you're all well impressed.

wasnt it luton many years ago where our beer monsters went up the high street and destroyed everything in sight along with tipping the mayors car on its roof and then singing about the virtue of the mayors wife? as i heard the story the mayor of stoke wrote to the affected mayor to apologise and said it was a bunch of under privileged people who needed sorting out immediately! even if its not true it makes me smile I remember going there early 80s first away game of the season I think, 3 coaches getting there about midday and it was mither for the next couple of hours.

In the best traditions of Keith Moon, I really hope it was true 😂

I read on a guardian article comment from a Luton fan that they would be bigger than us once their new ground gets built. Not a fan of 'our club is bigger than yours' as an insult but seriously? Nothing against Luton but we are historically and fanbase wise about twice their size? They've only won it one time... When Luton Town get their new ground built they will be...still Luton Town I'm afraid.

I see a Stoke fan has edited the Luton wiki page to rip the piss. Good work. I have no issue with Luton whatsoever. They seem to be an honest club with a reasonable fan base considering their catchment area, couple of Prem clubs in the near vicinity etc. I don't blame them for being frustrated. Short of the histrionics and dickheadishness, this is no different to Arnautovic leaving for West Ham. He's not exactly gone to some big monolith of a club. There's a chance Luton's form will tail off, but they achieve promotion.... there's an almost 100% chance that they'll be playing us next season. I can almost understand why he might be accused of lacking ambition? That said, Luton fans have to accept that we're a much bigger club, with more resources, better facilities and a chance for him to turn around one of the worst and most rapid declines that has been witnessed in both Premier League and Championship football for the past 10-15 years perhaps? Good Luck Nathan and Good Luck to Luton as well. Absolutely no hard feelings and I hope they continue to achieve in League 1.

Some very bitter people on here dissing our famous football club and our brand new ambitious manager! members.boardhost.com/lutonoutlaws/thread/1547054701.htmlCheered me right up it has. The bitterness and insult scale is always a good barometer of the quality of an incomer whether that be player or manager and its looking very very good indeed for us on that scale! BM The layout on that site is absolute AIDS

They seem genuinely devastated and its clear to see why considering where he's taken them. Don't think they need the piss taking out of them right now. On the news of Jones going yesterday on their site there seemed to be a fairly universal desire to see Gomez, the coach take over as Acting Manager...they really rate him. I didn’t have the bottle to tell them he was coming too.

I'm not too sure how they can really blame him for taking the job.
We've probably quadrupled his wages as well as offered him a considerably bigger transfer budget.
Even if they did reach the championship under him realistically we would stand far more chance of getting back to the prem.
And he primarily gets a 'free hit' this season which gives him time to implement his system and buy the right players to fit that system.

Only a matter of time before sackings, resignations & new manager signings have a transfer window to do the lot at the end of the season.
