Abducted by Aliens? Still on holiday? Injured? I'm not saying he's the answer to our lack of goals, but would have thought he'd actually be worth a place on the bench? Got to be one of the top earners at the Club

Another attacking player marginalised by Rowett......
No player in our Premier League history scored more goals in a single season than Diouf which is a bit of an inconvenient fact for many of his detractors. But a physical striker with pace who can occupy defenders and who has hit double figures in the Premier League in recent seasons will not help at all in the final third where we’re really struggling.

Diouf, Bojan & Adam should be walking into this side now, nevermind just the bench!!!
Who next Rowett??? Are you gonna freeze out Butland for Federici???

Put Afobe up top with the service Diouf got and he would have beat Dioufs total. Comes to something when a strikers best positioning was at wingback. I'll never forget his goal at the Etihad though.

Do we ignore the fact that he's useless? He had one good season, it was blip in an otherwise poor stoke career.

A players career at a club shouldn't be defined by a moment but that miss against Burnley from six yards.....
When down are the park with the lad we stand six yards in front of the posts on ponder this is the point where he missed the ball and the goal.
At the other end of the spectrum, it was a mighty fine goal against Man City though

Time for yet another: “Couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo” post. That makes 4 so far, 1 more than Diouf’s goal total in his last 39 appearances.

You make a fair point, if Rowett insists on playing with 1 striker than Diouf is more up to it than the one's he's picking in fairness. Again, not saying he's the answer but I equally don't see why he's getting the Bojan, Bauer & Adam treatment.

Diouf is symptomatic of the state the club is in.....another person who is incapable of performing their job even to the most basic of competency levels. It goes from top to bottom.

If we are starting to think Diouf is the answer - it’s beyond desperate. It's come down to wanting a striker to play because he is less shit than the other shit strikers,we realy are in deep shit are'nt we?

Go 5-3-2 again?
Shawcross, BMI and Williams providing a wall at the back.
Diouf and Pieters bombing on.
Allen, Etebo and Clucas bossing it in midfield.
Berahino and Afobe poaching a few goals.
Could it be any worse?!

I admit the stats doesn’t paint the whole picture, but if he’s the best at playing the lone striker role we’ve got, that says it all... How many sitters does he have to miss until you realise he’s a hard-working donkey? Nothing more!

Thing is if played Diouf he would get more chances than Afobe, Crouch and Bera put together, granted he will miss the vast majority but he won't go several games without touching the ball like our current strikers do.

Diouf, Bojan, Bauer and Adam.
All attacking - all frozen out.
Derby fans were right.
Sick of it all now.
The last three years have been hell - its time for a change.

For a big target man he’s useless. Diouf would at least make a nuisance of himself and have some presence, which Afobe doesn’t seem to have. Dioufs work rate and presence would make space and time for others to hopefully exploit. Afobe seems to possess neither of those attributes, but never mind we’ve only got to splash out £12m on him soon!
