I spotted this on restaurant row in New York a couple of weeks ago. Joe Allen, Brazil Brazil (small sign above) My Mrs queried why I was taking the picture, .... she'd never heard of Joe Allen đ” Stopped in there for a few beers earlier this year. They had no clue who our Joe was, though

Didnât we used to cheer the team on when we went behind? I can imagine it being more of a lift to them than being booed? Yeah yeah âyou pay your moneyâ and all that crap but if your paying to see us win every game then your a fan of the wrong sport. Nearly every game you watch now has the fans booing their team when they go behind. Itâs a generation thing I think, the main âbooersâ as such are probably mid 20s and part of this new culture that dropped subjects at school because their teacher stressed them out. They probably have kids that misbehave at school but itâs ok because they have ADHD and itâs not their fault. They donât need disciplining, they are free spirits. Donât give a damn how many of you Iâve offended because Iâve probably just described you above to a T. If your not willing to go to a match and run the risk of everything going our way then donât bloody go if it makes you so unhappy. There's undoubtedly some truth in this, Dan. Unconditional support does seem to be a casualty of the rise in entitlement... Thereâs a difference between not everything going our way and playing shit though.

All your posts are long and boring. You seem to think by typing an essay each time you log in that you hold some form of high ground. You donât come off as educated one bit, you come across as insecure. Your long posts donât carry more weight as they contain more words. Get typing, I will come back in an hour to see what you have managed. Why insecure? I'm just trying to be helpful. It's strange you talk about whether or not I come off educated, it's an irrelevance. It is yet another internet trope that someone tends to use rather than discussing the topic at hand. My posts aren't particularly long, a handful of sentences in most of them. Ultimately though you chose to bring the topic of booing to this Joe Allen thread combined with some strange social commentary. We can go in circles endlessly throwing out tit for tat generic put downs without offering much insight but my point is more that you genuinely seemed not to grasp why some people would boo - hence why I offered up an analogy. Since then you've not made a single attack in the direction of that point or even sought to offer up any further counters as to why people should or shouldn't boo. You've just simply attacked me. I've tried to discuss aspect of booing initially, and then to try and continue the discussion tried to bring the aspect of tactics vs atmosphere to the discussion. You've ignored those and just kept going on trying to attack me somehow like it matters in some way. I can only assume my initial tongue in cheek remark turning around the "generation thing" upset you so much you aren't willing to engage in what could have otherwise been a bit of a discussion to pass the time. PS Should I now write one of those remarks about not checking back any more to "claim" that internet trope victory? In truth it doesn't take a lot to write up these posts while I sit at my PC playing FM and watching a TV show. Just in case you decide to invoke the other internet trope of "nothing better to do/sad/etc"
