Saints problems seem to be different than the ones he had at our place in his final 2 years.
They have had the 3rd most attempts on goal in the whole Prem but failed to convert the chances.
Today against Newcastle was another case in point, 22 shots to 6 in their favour and 4 on target to 0 but no goals.
I can't really see them going down, Huddersfield, Cardiff and Newcastle are all going balls out to try to secure the relegation slots.

Serves them right for employing the waste of space.
Hughes doesn't do relegation, he gets sacked first

The bottom five teams in the top league have won a combined total of 3 games and lost a combined total of 33.
It just makes relegation sting that little bit more. Even for where we are now in the Championship, I bet we would be above those five if we managed to stay up......

If the c$&t isn't going to spontaneously combust in the dug-out on MOTD, for my entertainment, the least he can do is get relegated.

6 goals in 10 games none in the last 5. Job must now be on the line. Damn shame ! I have always thought that the criticism of Mark Hughes is way OTT. We played some fantastic football under him and perhaps if he had been given more financial support from the Board when we had players like Arni and Shaq we would have progressed further. Also he had the major problem of the Pizza Boys to deal with. Any manager will find it difficult with those clowns in charge. I still think that he would have kept us up if he had stayed. I know that it's easy to use Hughes as the whipping boy but I don't agree with blaming him for everything.

Southampton won't dither like Coates. They sacked a bloke who took them to 8th and got them to a cup final is his only full season there.

I have no feeling towards Southampton. But I really do hope he gets the official rubber stamp of relegation to go with the 2 clubs he's had a massive hand in relegated already.

Heard him on the radio saying how well his squad do in training, making chances, working hard....only a matter of time he says before results seen on the field.😂😂😂

Give him a further transfer window to spunk millions on "Top scouted targets" and then axe him when they are 2 bottom & sinking fast
With his band of merry back room staff, he is Club killer

Can you imagine his next interview, "so mark, what do you think you can bring to this club?"
To be perfectly honest I think my teams pass it around well and er...er.. my record at Fulham when Noah was a lad wasn't too shabby..... I was really unlucky at QPR, Stoke and Southampton. A proper Mark Hughes team doesn't do relegation and plays better in the second half of the season. I think I was sacked too soon

Defensively they look sound NOT like it was here!! They're creating chances going forward but are lacking a finisher. There are worse teams in the Prem.I will always remember that short period of Shaq Bojan and Arnie when we played some great stuff but he made some big mistakes starting with selling Huth which started our demise and then buying poor replacements.

It'll take him a few seasons to dismantle a defence and then there's his ability to spot and coach a striker..........

Are you kidding Shaqiri............£12m Imbula............£18.5m Wimmer.........£18.5m Berahino........£12m Martins Indi ........£7m Sobhi........£5m Allen £13m Joselu.....£6m Wollscheid ....£3m Bojan...........£3m Plus many more £2-3m signings. That’s well over £100m and if you compare that to clubs such as the likes of Watford, Brighton and Bournemouth, ok not in the same league as the big boys (who seem to not be affected by FFP rules) who seemed to come from nowhere and establish themselves as decent PL teams then for me it puts Hughes into perspective as a manager and coach.

What was the return on that bunch? A relegation and a £1m profit on Shaqiri? Don't even mention N'diaye ( who we will be lucky to get a pack of peanuts for when we are being schooled by the market stall specialists in the skills of negotiating).

There's some people on here who don't half fantasise with a little help from select memory
Two and half years of good football......bollocks, we had a smattering of good games a season during this time and although we looked better going forward we were at heart still a Pulis side......
Which brings me on to another point....
As soon as the clown started to dismantle the side he inherited he went to rat shit, he lost the balance and guile of the team and replaced it with spineless journeyman, Bojan first half of his first season was uninspiring, he played ok for the second half having a couple of memorable games such as Leicester away a spuds away Arnies first season was uninspiring where he was actually getting dropped to subs bench and we looked better without him Shaq first two seasons were fucking woeful were he actually became a boo boy with the crowd with his half arses lazy approach, by far his best season was his shop window season...strange eh The wins against United and city at home over that Christmas period were addmitadly the best I have seen stoke play, that win away at city with the headless chicken scoring past Hart was a flook, and what about the times that the useless curley headed bafoon had to resort to ex pulis players to dig him out of the shit by bringing on walters or crouch 2 and half years...
Give your heads a wobble you clowns

Please feel free to correct me.

Southampton would have gone down last season if we had been better. I can't see them sticking with him much longer. Not entirely his fault that they are where they are. Years of selling players and not adequately replacing them have finally caught up with them. He will be gone before Xmas.
