Are any of you the Stoke fan who threw the pie after Benik Afobe scored our first goal yesterday?
If so then maybe you’d be interested to know that you hit a young girl in the face, leaving her hurt, clearly distraught and crying.
I’ll just repeat that; YOU HIT A YOUNG GIRL IN THE FACE!!!
What kind of brain dead cretin would launch a firm solid object into a crowd of people? Have you got no concept of what damage that can do after travelling 15-20 yards?
Oh, and one last time you loser, you hit a young girl in the face!

Oh, and one last time you loser, you hit a young girl in the face! Whoever did it was clearly brainless enough to do it in the first place, and I'd hedge my bets they're too gutless to admit to doing it. I'd like to start taking my lad to Stoke in a few years but its stuff like this that puts me off. You should be able to take your kids to the footy without running the risk of them being hurt. It's a very sad state of affairs, and easily avoidable. Hope the young girl is ok. Its probably put her off going ever again.

Was it literally launched or could it have been an accident? How can a pie be 'accidentally' thrown 15 - 20 yards? Another towards your daily quota

Another towards your daily quota Ah yeah because people don’t just lose it when celebrating a goal...... Pretty easily I’d imagine is the answer when people are going mental for a goal.

Whoever did it is still a nob but its a fair question to ask if it was just tossed up in the air in a weird celebration or was launched with menace at someone or something.

Completely impossible.

Pretty easily I’d imagine is the answer when people are going mental for a goal. Nonsense. People still have a vague enough control of their own bodies to not "accidentally" throw something so far. It it went a row or two in front then it could potentially be called "dropped", but in the scenario stated? Well I'd like you to draw me a diagram of how someone loses it so much the pie they are holding manages to travel so far. Celebrating a goal is simply not enough of an excuse to claim diminished responsibility.

Pretty easily I’d imagine is the answer when people are going mental for a goal. If we scored while I was holding a pie (or pint for that matter) the thing I'd do is protect the damn thing. People who launch their pints or whatever they're holding are complete fucking idiots in my book.

Was it literally launched or could it have been an accident? Accident? how can you hurl a pie 20 yards within enough force to hurt someone a accident, does accident mean could not give a shit where it lands or who it hurts in your dictionary?

This 20 yard thing is a pretty accurate estimate of the launch pad. Did someone see who threw it?

I know a full grown bloke that this happened to in the family stand at the Vic in the early 90s. He had to go to hospital to be assessed for burns!
Heaven knows what it would do to a young one.
I hope her and her family are ok.

It’s not that far especially if you’ve got the height above. And when you fling your arms up for a goal it’s at speed isn’t it. I really don’t thing it’s that unfanthimable especially if the pie was in the metal tray, then it would fling out a speed. It was only an alternative hypothesis anyway presuming people had seen the person actually launching it......

If a pie had been dropped, or a drink spilt, or somebody knocked over in the jostling and commotion of a goal scored, fair enough. Could be put down to an accident. To throw something at pace, something which is fairly heavy and likely very hot, which then hits a young girl in the face - yeah, that's a no brainer for me. Line crossed. I would never dream of throwing an object in the aftermath of a goal, no matter how big the mental. People need to accept responsibility for their actions. It can't just be passed off as an accident.

Poor young girl, I went to Hull with my mum when we secured Premier League football in 2009. Think Fuller scored just before HT. we went into the concourse to go the toilet and some cretin threw a cup of coffee and it hit my mum in the face, luckily it wasn’t scolding hot, otherwise it would have been a nasty burn. Some lovely people in the world ay

Do you think I’d waste anybody’s time here if I thought it could be an accident? It came whizzing past our seats and smacked a young girl in the face. What kind of accident could it be... Like the time Hitler accidentally invaded Poland? Like the time Oswald accidentally shot Kennedy? Like the time Drake accidentally circumnavigated the globe? Did the pie thrower deliberately aim to hit a girl in the face? Probably not. Did they stop to think of the damage a solid object can do when you hurl it through the air? Absolutely not.

This 20 yard thing is a pretty accurate estimate of the launch pad. Did someone see who threw it? We've all seen enough flying objects at football matches to determine if something was thrown or dropped. Even if the person thought they were so superb at throwing things that it would safely fly over everyone and safely land on the pitch, I don't think that'd be enough to claim "accident".

Especially if you have the height. An they do. But yer know, what if it was like an accident?
