callas12 One of the Elite
Callas12 --- You liked ( therefore I assume you agreed ) on a post asking if was somehow to blame for poor Mabel Pretty despicable and worthy of appearing as troll like As for Personal issues --- You don't really interest me as I should not interest you
I am not self righteous and am a piss taker of the highest order
Expression of views -- interesting comment ... So to categorise what happened to Mabel and the lad from Blackburn as " debate " in a thread about some knobhead throwing a pie is fair game to ( not just you ) but others on here
Freedom of speech has been mentioned but this is not spoken BUT written which ( if I found it offensive ) could easily be found offensive by others ( in particular relatives ) but who care eh ... We say what we want and then look to see if we have any " likes "
If someone takes offence at what I have put on this forum then I would truly apologise to the individual and mean it,
But if someone wants to take me to task over some perceived agenda .... There isn't one

I am sure this wasn't your intention BUT when you have some who listen to everything you say and take it as the gospel you end up creating a shitstorm Perhaps you should keep your opinions to yourself ... A bit like I do You haven't though, have you mate? In fact, you've loudly proclaimed your own opinion at every available juncture, indulged in the narcissism of taking offence by proxy and tried to shut down any kind of debate simply because you don't like it. You're guilty of doing the very thing you're misguidedly railing against, and that kind sir, is why most readers of this thread think you're a cockend. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

There isn't one Messageboard threads tend to work like pub conversations. You start off on one subject and it veers off sometimes on a wild tangent and sometimes just a tad, maybe to something related to the original topic. I could be wrong, but it strikes me that you think that by being on the same thread, the two deaths referred to are somehow being compared to a pie being thrown and causing (hopefully only minor) upset to a young girl. That's not the case, it's just the way conversations naturally move on. I could be wrong and I'll sincerely apologise if I am, but as far as I can see, not one offensive or derisory comment has been made about the two people who sadly died, possibly as a result of careless or thoughtless actions of others at a football match. I'm 100% certain that those posts and possibly the whole thread would have been taken down if there had been such comments. As it is, there haven't been, and up until you got involved the thread was throwing up some interesting debate. The important thing here is that no one was comparing a more trivial incident with life-ending events, and no one was offensive towards anyone who'd suffered in any way as a result of the incidents referred to. The conversation just moved on. As far as this thread is concerned, maybe you should too.

How can a pie be 'accidentally' thrown 15 - 20 yards? Another towards your daily quota Ah yeah because people don’t just lose it when celebrating a goal...... Pretty easily I’d imagine is the answer when people are going mental for a goal. Are you for real?

You really are an idiot at times. How? I’ve seen people fly 20 yards during a goal celebration never mind a pie. I really don’t get why it’s so hard to fathom it could have been accident? That’s because you are simply thick.

You're guilty of doing the very thing you're misguidedly railing against, and that kind sir, is why most readers of this thread think you're a cockend. -- Not bothered in the slightest what other people think - never have been really unless the people mean something to me of courseThanks for coming to my TED talk. - Your welcome

I could understand if the thread had trivialised the untimely passing of Mabel and the lad from Blackburn but as several posters have pointed out, at no point did anyone say anything derogatory or even equate the two incidents in which someone lost their life to the throwing of a pie.
Even so, you've gone on and on demanding that the thread be closed and in doing so, have shifted the focus to yourself (and derailed what was, in the main, a reasoned debate about a contentious issue).

I hope she is ok. Can't be very nice. I missed the first goal as we got into the ground just after the kick off, so didn't see it, but really if someone did see who threw it, they should speak up. We shouldn't excuse people for being cretins. Our own Mabel was basically killed by a bunch of fucking cretins at a Stoke game. Let's start shaming these pricks. Apologies you were there, late mind.

Indeed. Walked in before kick off, went for a piss, went up as the goal went in

Never said anyone had trivialised anything just thought it out of order subject matter in a post about a pie chucker ( an opinion )Even so, you've gone on and on demanding that the thread be closed and in doing so, have shifted the focus to yourself ( in your opinion ) (and derailed what was, in the main, a reasoned debate ( unnecessary subject matter -- my opinion ) about a contentious issue). Opinion -- Mine is that it was an over the top debate about a pie chucker ( knobhead ) that compared his actions to the results of some very sad periods in time For which some knobhead on here asked me if I had pushed the lady -- despicable but not worthy of censure Interestingly not yet developed into an arse kicking exchange
However as you don't agree with my stance I am sure it will only be a matter of time

Best wishes to the young girl, hope she's ok and wants to carry on supporting our famous club. Just something i need to get off my chest and having attended Bramall Lane in early nineties to watch Stoke in 1 particular match, didn't some Stoke fans(some of whom have contributed majorly to this thread) get ejected for throwing food!? This is a valid point, fairly made and deserving of a reply. For those who don't know/remember, I was actually arrested at Sheffield United back in 1989 for throwing a couple of oatcakes inside Bramall Lane prior to kick off. I would rationalise the incident and claim there is a difference for the following season - the oatcakes, like the bread that is still sometimes thrown by some Stokies to this day, are soft and floppy and it'd be extremely difficult to hurt anybody with them. Furthermore, they were not thrown indiscriminately into the crowd but were instead deliberately skimmed, like Frisbees, towards the back of the net from just a few yards away. That's what made it so easy to arrest those who did it. We were stood right behind the goal, not thinking we were doing anything wrong. This wasn't, as happened at Hillsborough, throwing a (fairly) solid object in amongst your own supporters where it might really hurt somebody. That said however, nobody should be throwing things inside the ground and I paid for my own indiscretion with an afternoon inside police cells. Respect.

I think the point above is key, nobody (to my knowledge) was besmirching the lad or lady the association maybe tenuous with the original topic but I don’t see the need for the considerable umbrage apparently being taken?
