Tom Brady - definitely a scandal in that man somewhere down the line.

Tom Brady - definitely a scandal in that man somewhere down the line. Conna see it Humphrey, he's the epitome of a clean-cut American kid.
Two remarkable Championship games there. Some ridiculous officiating almost ruined them .... but not quite, seeing as I'm a Pats fan ;-)
Saints fans must be flabbergasted. That was about the most blatant defensive pass interference never to get called. And yes, I'll admit the Pats got a couple of dubious calls (or non-calls) in their favour. But equally, so did the Chiefs. Mahomes is something else to watch when he's firing, even when I'm rooting for the opposition. I figure the Pats just deserved to win - not down to Brady but down to their linemen, both offence & defence, who had the edge on the Chiefs' guys for most of the game.
On the to Superbowl .... which I'll be glued to for every second from build-up until the final post-match interview is done. Apart from the half time bollox. Maroon 5? If anything is likely to put me to sleep when I'm revved up, they'd do it.

It's always the quiet ones. Or the virgins, in Mr Kavanagh's case. It was a great game to watch, particularly as Mahomes was still able to entertain on the losing side. I think the momentum was still with Patriots but still, the overtime rules are ridiculous! Superbowl should be decent, it will take some going to beat last years - I was in Las Vegas for it and have taken a half interest in the Eagles since I started watching the sport. I think a lot depends on Patriots nullifying Anderson.

Both were great games, and I agree with the o/t situation. Can’t see why they don’t do the same as college football. Mahomes never got back on the pitch.
I’ll be watching the super bowl , it’s here in Georgia , but no chance of getting tickets. I was hoping the Chiefs made it so I’m going to have to just enjoy the game. I’d like to see the Patriots get it, Brady , Gronk and Edelman are incredible

I regularly get the glory-hunter jibe, but seeing as I've followed the Patriots for 40 years, there wasn't a right lot of glory for the first half of that.
It was harsh on the Chiefs. Mahomes is amazing to watch. If the Chiefs can beef up their lines in the draft/trades/free agents, they'll be unstoppable. To get to the Championship game with a defensive line that gives up so many yards on the rush is incredible. And imagine what Mahomes could do with a bit more protection from the OL.
Gronk's a love or hate player, I guess. Of course I love him. He's a tank. I was laughing out loud at one play where he caught it out wide, pretty much at the scrimmage line. 3 defenders in close coverage, he burst through the first one like he was made of paper, handed off the second as if he was a child, the third just, and only just brought him down after hanging on to him for another 8 yards. What a beast.
I think the Superbowl will be very close, less than 7 points either way. I'm most looking forward to what trick plays & fakes the Patriots will come up with. Every Superbowl they come up with a pearler or two.

That's some stadium design the superbowl is being played in, over a £1billion pounds, they are even spending £20m on a footbridge for spectators to walk from the train station to the stadium.

Here is a question, I really liked Friday Night Lights movie but I've wondered about the TV series?? Somehow I get the impression it's much more of a teen drama and less sports than the film it's come from.
