It's early days yet, but based on what I've seen so far, I don't fancy us to finish above any of these sides:
Leeds
Middlesbrough
Aston Villa
Brentford
West Brom

Let’s not forget we’ve not seen Woods and Clucas yet who will improve us.
Looking at our players we’re workmanlike.
After this week I’d like to think we’ll push on.
I think we’re better than most but I’d say Villa are the strongest team in the league with Boro behind them.
Then 5-6 clubs including us.
If we’d addressed our defence and wing cover we’d be up the top with Villla.

It's early days yet, but based on what I've seen so far, I don't fancy us to finish above any of these sides: Leeds - I'm not sold on them at all. They've peaked already. Middlesbrough - They'll be a force at home. I don;t think we've seen the best of them yet. Aston Villa - Top 2. Brentford - Good footballing outfit who will come up short with a lack of quality. West Brom - Good team.

Even if we are in the league another season, we'll be right up there next year if not this one. Done some good business imo

Probably about right, although we'll know more after 8 or 9 games.
Just can't really understand why we haven't gone that extra mile and filled the 5th loan slot. We look so light in creativity/goal power - and we're already about 10 points behind before August's out.
It just seemed to demand some kind of statement addition.

Leeds always fizzle out. Boro have a small squad and no more money. Villa have no money and are selling their best players. Brentford are Brentford and the Baggies are a bag of shite. Wait a few weeks before coming up with prognostications.

I think Leeds played to their full potential on the opening day, and their last 2 results this week are not impressive. We all know TP will build a solid team, but they will run out of steam by the last quareter of the season.
We have loads more potential to improve, the only question is how long GR will take to achieve our full potential.

We're just getting into our groove. Win tomorrow and I fancy we'll go on a mad run. The league is still ours for the taking if it all clicks, Newcastle didn't start well either

It's a very long season. Brentford and Swansea's squads aren't big, and Bielsa's sides are well known for running out of steam giving the pressing game he plays.
I'd put Boro and Villa ahead of us because they know the league, and I would put us on par with West Brom.
If (big if) we click, I think the division knows we'd smash everyone.

Let’s not forget we’ve not seen Woods and Clucas yet who will improve us. I think you mean we've not seen Woods and Clucas yet whether they will improve us. I don't know those two players but I know the manager wants a team of 11 McCleans which makes it unlikely they will improve us, but I suppose not all McCleans are bad, so I could be wrong.

Wait a few weeks before coming up with prognostications. Did you actually read your own message. Wait a few weeks before...just after you made five such "prognostications". Anyway Leeds may fizzle but they have never been managed by Bielsa before. I don't think English football has known a manager quite like him before, and while his post Bilbao career has had its ups and downs, the two seasons in the Basque brought remarkable success.

Woods is very highly rated and has won player of the season for the last 2 seasons for a good Brentford side and Clucas is an excellent player. Woods is the DM weve been looking for for a good few years. Ill be very surprised if he’s not better than Fletcher.

Early days. We will get better and better. We have too many good players. We'll finish comfortably in the play offs. Dont even contemplate looking after the league until ten games.

I'd be surprised if Potter can't get Swansea higher than us. Possibly - its certainly useful to look at teams with managers as an indicator who'd you'd fancy might do well once the dust settles. Cardiff & Preston were pretty "average" last year on paper, but overperformed with managers who have relatively recent experience of success in the league. Suggests that come what may we will be Okay under Rowett. Would fancy Pulis, Karanka, Bruce to all steer their clubs to top 6. And Neil, Smith and Wilder to create competitive teams who are pushing for those positions. Biesla, Potter, Moore and Lampard - wildcards.

If we win tonight (or today in England), we are two games off automatic promotion and probably less than a game from play-off positions. This wouldn't not be too bad considering the start we had.
If..... we win tonight....

I thought Wigan looked a tad better than us too! They did on the day, but I put that down to a combination of us having some kind of mental collapse after they scored and them getting the run of the ball. I'd be disappointed if we're not ahead of them come the end of the season. The other teams I've named have been building at this level for years, or in the case of West Brom, have bought better than we have over the summer and simply have more firepower.
