They have got some bloody dam good players. So have we but theirs are more used to winning in pressure situations. That isn't decisive now but it's a hard game against a very good team.

Itβs got to be blue shorts ....this all white is not England And neither is fucking blue either! There is no blue on the England flag. In fact, the only blue on the England strip should be the lions in the badge - nothing else. Actually, our first kit should be red top and white shorts, and the second strip the reverse of that. And don't get me started on the visibilty, or lack thereof, of the star above the badge on these shirts. Whoever thought it a good idea to have a white star on a white shirt and a red star on a red shirt deserves a fucking beating. I like the idea of white shirt/red shorts and then the reverse. I've been saying for a long time that clubs and countries should aim for an easily identifiable look. The most easily identifiable kits are those that remain consistent. Among national kits, that's Argentina (light blue stripes), Netherlands (orange), Brazil (yellow shirt with blue shorts), and Croatia (red and white checkers). I can show you a picture of players from those countries from decades ago, and you'll immediately know where they are from. Among English clubs, I'd say that Newcastle is the most easily identifiable. Stop this nonsense of changing the look every year. I understand it for away kits and third kits, but don't mess with the home kits every year.

We need to be on the front foot in this game, push back modric and rakitic.we need to be very aggressive and look for goals.
Their midfield, and then Rebic on the wing, is right up there with the best in the tournament. But their back line doesn't look right and they certainly can't handle set pieces.
Could go either way this one

This is where Southgate has to make a change or two, the likes of Lingard, Ali and Sterling will get found out against Modric and the guy from Barcelona or will he go for their pace and youth in an attempt to outscore them.
Thereβs no doubt that Croatia have the best midfield weβve faced so far and if we can get past them easily itβll be a massive boost for the final against France as without doubt their midfield is outstanding.

Unless we've got injuries I don't think we need to change anything. They looked knackered at the end of the Russia game. They've got a better midfield than us but their one good striker looks like he might not be fit and they're suspect at the back and vulnerable to set pieces. I'd definitely start Sterling and Lingard and if Ali's fit his goal might just have done him the power of good, though I can see a case for starting RLC in his place too.

They will have to change their team from Saturday as Modric and Rakitic are not defensively minded enough to play against Lingard and Alli breaking from midfield.
They've been pretty poor since the group stages and we need to go into the game full of confidence.

I'm convinced that Southgate will get it right tactically. The whole squad seem up for it and are 1 game off the final. I've not seen an England squad (that seem to be so tight as a unit) for a few decades.

Early thoughts? Think it will be a fascinating midfield battle. 2-1 England in 90 minutes, dunner want extra time. France/England final but an England win will be against the odds.

I can see the crowd being the 12th man in this match.
More a case of being anti-Croatia than pro-England, but I get a sense that the hostile environment we could have faced wonβt be there.
Tight match, but ultimately 2-1 to England.

Some of them are becoming extremely worried we might win it!

Superb at controlling the pace of the game and where all Croatia's best work comes from. Dele Alli will be crucial. If he's got enough energy to track back and do some work in midfield we will have a great chance. If he plays Dier then I think we will send out the wrong message and invite them onto us.

England need to keep the game at a high tempo. They were wrecked at the end of the Russia game and I think our energy will overpower them.
No-one expected a semi-final from you boys so throw the kitchen sink at em. If we go down, we go down having left everything on the pitch!
